A bakery in Bakersfield, Calif., is facing criticism for refusing to bake a cake for a gay couple who posted about the ordeal on Facebook Saturday.
Eileen Del Rio said the bakery owner, Cathy Miller, refused to make her and her partner’s wedding cake because she doesn’t condone same sex marriages, The New York Daily News reported Monday. Del Rio did note in her post, however, that the baker offered to make up their order and send it off to another bakery for the wedding day.

They should have just simply said they were Muslim and there probably would have been no issue (of course, even in Kommiefornia).

Which differs from what the owner of the bakery is saying. They say they just refer gay couples to their competitor.
What I don't see is where the bakery in question is "in trouble". Has the rejected customer taken the matter to the authorities? Or is she just complaining on social media?

Bakersfield is central California a lot more conservative then the rest of the state but still brave owner to make the statement.
Every bakery and florist needs to just say sorry, we’re closed those days and be done with it. And actually close.

Well, it didn’t, until it was legalized. Now our kids are taught this lifestyle in public schools, without parents even knowing it, much less consenting to it. Businesses put out of businesses, others FORCED to serve people they prefer not to serve because of lifestyle objections. Not to mention perverts in girls’ locker rooms.
And our Republican Leaders (i.e., NeverTrumpers) thought we could ‘put this issue behind us’ by not talking about it anymore.
One would think these idiots would know by now that THE LEFT NEVER STOPS. Either we fight them every step, or bend over and take it.

Yes, its an “ordeal” if a bakery won’t make a wedding cake for you.
Gays better be careful what they wish for..They want to.force someone to use their TALENT and ARTISTRY to do something against their beliefs...If gays are used, they would have to live under same rules..Your talent is used against your beliefs...Gays couldn’t complain or turn them down...Libs love to say we should all play by the same rules...Force them to play by the same rules or admit publicly they have special privileges

Most of Bakersfield originally was from Oklahoma—they came during the Dust Bowl days.
The gay activists were specifically looking for people who would say no, so they could sue.
If the bakery had said yes, they would have said “never mind”.
Just stand at the service counter and take their order, while picking your nose.
Or scratching your ass that also works.
Better solution: just take the order. Then “forget” to do it.
Gotta wonder at people who would trust bakers that they go out of their way to antagonize not to put humorous additions into the batter or icing in reprisal for the “customer” being jerks....
