Arrested For "political accusations"?

This is from http://www.n-tv.de/politik/Zwei-Deutsche-in-Tuerkei-festgenommen-article20013161.html machine translated.

The tit for tat between Germany and Turkey is increasing.

It is not just with Germany, Erdogan is already in the face of the entire world. Very bad cocktail in the Middle East.

There’s been very strong hints by the German Foreign Ministry over the last two months for Germans NOT to travel into Turkey...no one can ensure their safety. Without going to the next step....branding Turkey a dangerous place...they’ve done everything required.

The tit for tat business is pretty limited....because of the EU-deal to hold back refugees in Turkey (that 3-billion Euro a year deal). All of this business is screwing up the Turk-tourism economy big-time.

Turkiye is probably not a very good place to visit currently.

The immigration issue is a nuclear time bomb for the EU. EU POLs are to blame.

But Erdogan is not compatible with NATO either.

This will end in an all out war for Turkey and somebody, or it will end with Erdogan out. The Kemalist are very unhappy where this is going. Do they have the clout to take Erdogan down? I think Erdogan fears them. He should.

After that fake-coup business...all of the natural participants who would want form up the next coup are fearful that they are being drawn into another fake coup. I don’t see nothing happening for the next two years except dismal economic conditions, fewer tourists, and probably half-a-million Turks who will find a way to pack up and leave (probably going mostly into Germany).

And I hate that. A good part of my young childhood was spent in Istanbul. Americans were near holy in those days. My sister and I as preteens and way preteens could go anywhere our legs could carry us and if we looked lost or out of place a soldier or a taxi driver would call the consulate about the two American kids, where did they belong? and we would get a ride home in a jeep or a taxi along with dolmas or brek (sweet pastries). The soldier or taxi driver would be invited for coffee when we were brought home.

The Kemalists under the “Justice” label gathered 1 million people near Istanbul.

It did not go un-noticed. But NO Kemalists were arrested. Erdogan fears them.

An economic breakdown in Turkey could be the tipping point. Erdogan my think he is God’s chosen, but the real God knows he isn’t.

The Fake Coup was just that. The Kemalists Coups (many) always succeeded. If they do it again, it will succeed. Most of the military officer’s that Erdogan purged, are still alive. Some old and apparently not a threat others are abroad. These people are always a threat to the likes of Erdogan.

I’m no fan of the Kemalists, but they are not Islamists.
