The ongoing chilling reports on Antifa took another worrisome turn recently when it was discovered that many of the members of the leftist terrorist group are in fact public school teachers.
This new information came to light when it was revealed that the group BAMN, or “BAMN – Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action, Integration, and Immigrant Rights and Fight for Equality By Any Means Necessary”, has among its members violent demonstrators like Yvette Felarca.
One of BAMN’s most prominent organizers is Yvette Felarca, a Berkeley middle school teacher and pro-violence militant. Felarca currently faces charges of inciting a riot for her role in the Sacramento violence.

I guess I’m missing something. Given what we here know about the people we subject our kids too (in order to free up money for that nice house, or boat), is ANYONE here a bit surprised by this?

Thomas Sowell pointed out EXACTLY the same regarding ‘education’ majors, in his classic book “Inside American Education”.
Needless to say, virtually no one on our side (except me) paid any attention to him. The thought of ‘free’ school for our kids was all that mattered.

I remember when teachers actually *taught* classes.
It would be unthinkable in the '70s for one of my teachers to be involve themselves in a violent antifag protest, even if they *were* ardent liberals.
.... Public schools in today’s America .... are really nothing more than Institutions for Socialist/Communist Indoctrination ..... This needs to stop immediately if you wish for the Survival of the American Ideals. Return our Schools back to the educational basics that helped make this nation great.

I know someone (No, Im not suggesting this person is FBI) who has been investigating antifa for quite a few years...15 or so that Im aware of...and told me long ago that this was true.
Well, we paid taxes too and still homeschooled.
And it was worth it what with the way my kids turned out.
Heck, when I went to college in the early 70’s I went to what was supposed to be an excellent teacher’s college and the general attitude on campus was that the education degree was the losers degree for those not smart enough to get a real degree and a real job in the real world.
I was studying pre-med at Wayne State University in Detroit in the early 70’s. I knew many education majors. They seemed decent enough at the time and they actually did have to do some work in their classes. The ones who were the real stoner bums and didn’t appear to do anything were the journalism majors. What a surprise, eh?
So happy it worked out.
It just enrages me that I work my a$$ off to pay for our local public schools, yet I would actually be a terrible parent to allow my son to attend them.
Even though I pay through the nose for their existence.
We're sending our son to private school, even though we are not particularly well off.
If our son went to local schools, and I found out his teacher was some antifa radical, the principal would be hiding under his desk if I heard of it.
