Stephen Colbert returned to duty hosting The Late Show this week after a two-week vacation, as TruthRevolt noted yesterday, and launched into a typically juvenile and unfunny monologue pushing the left's SOP (Standard Operating Propaganda) line that President Trump and his former advisor Steve Bannon are Nazis.
The Daily Beast reports that on Thursday night, Colbert addressed Steve Bannon's exit from the Trump administration. “As so many things happened, I really missed the chance to talk about some big stuff—especially the exit of White House strategist (and Proactiv ‘before’ model) Steve Bannon,” wisecracked Colbert.

Colbert’s sister ran against the former SC governor for a House seat; the guy was a terrible candidate with dubious personal background. She was expected to win; she lost, and quite badly. This probably explains some of his childish hurt.

See that famous SNL skit where he’s acting like a demented old grandfather with some Girl Scouts in the Oval Office and then they leave and his cabinet comes in and he turns into master tactitician and strategist.
I remember that SNL skit was the Reagan character!
Reagan was chatting with the girl scouts in the Oval Office, his head bobbing, his face smiling, acting like a doddering old man, and then when they left, the maps on the wall were unfurled, “Reagan” was pointing at the maps with a pointer, and barking orders to his cabinet and military officials, telling them where and who he wanted to attack. A real bad ass, tough in your face guy.
It was supposed to be insulting, but I rather liked the skit.
It’s hard to say what the writers intent for that skit was - it was a different time and they may have been making fun of what the press’ perception was. Or it backfired.
Don’t forget Cartoon Network ran “lil Bush” during W’s years too.

Nazi is a contraction of the German name of the National Socialist German Workingmen’s Party. They were, plain and simple, SOCIALISTS above all else, and as such, have few doctrinal differences with any other socialist ideology in the world (including Islam, by the way).
Command and control regimes all end up with the same general traits and priorities. Total conformity to the demands of the elite few at the top, with infractions to be punished most severely, and the enforcement carried out on a servile, but uninspired, multitude, with the force of threats of death by a well-armed and largely unaccountable secret police force.
Of course, those doctrinal differences between various flavors of socialist regimes are enough for the parties involved to go to war with each other, as each believes there is only one True Path to the pure socialist state, and error must be purged.
At all costs, including mutual destruction.
Realistically.. Colbert is about as funny as a truckload of dead babies.
Once they bring out the Nazi meme it means they’ve lost control of the narrative so this is their last resort fall back plan that never works. Godwin’s Law. Bigot, racist, misogynist, white supremacist or nationalist, and finally their last resort; Nazi. Extremely predictable. Their toolbox is really lacking in anything of substance so this is all they have which is mostly BS.
