White House Spokesman: ESPN's Jemele Hill's Anti-Trump Tweets 'a Fireable Offense'

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders didn't hold back when asked about an ESPN host's now-famous anti-Trump Twitter tirade calling the president a white supremacist.

SportsCenter co-host Jemele Hill began her tirade by saying, "Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists."

A reporter asked Sanders if the president was aware of the comment.

"I'm not sure if he's aware [of that comment] but I think that's one of the more outrageous comments that anyone could make -- and certainly something that I think is a fireable offense by ESPN," Sanders answered.

Racist liberals have no shame and they never need any proof for their outrageous lies and accusations. We’d never hear the end of something like this if the colors involved were reversed.

No one should be fired for his “tweets.” If fired I hope she sues ESPN and wins big. This whole culture of big companies firing employees for their FB and twitter stuff and even overheard stuff is not what America was when America was America.

In theory I agree. However, ESPN silently set a policy that criticizing a President warrants a firing. Or criticizing some deranged social issue they agree with. See Schilling, Kohn and Ditka for examples. Apparently though, that only applies if the President is an America hating Pro Sharia black guy

Morals clauses in contracts, which is the broad category into which Hill's tweet would fall, have been in use since the Fatty Arbuckle case in 1921. So it's hard to argue that this is something new. The question comes in deciding what statements and actions outside of the workplace are actionable and which are not. The problem that ESPN has is that they apply a double standard. They further compound the problem by encouraging their employees to push the envelope and then the bomb explodes in their face after they light the fuse. This is not the first time that Hill has come under fire for something like this, by the way.

With all due respect, freedom of speech does not give anyone the right to say whatever they want without consequences. Yes, she has the right to say, or tweet, whatever she wants. However, ESPN or any other organization, would have the right to fire her for her actions.

It’s unamerican to fire her. It is American to tar and feather her.

Andrew Wilkow said let the market decide. If ESPN wants to become MSESPN, who cares? I haven’t watched ESPN since the 90s, and I’m a cord cutter so I don’t subsidize them. We know how liberals engage in double-standards and hypocrisy.

Racism is all the democrats and liberals have. And Medicare for all that will bankrupt the country. But, they think those are the keys to 2018 and 2020.

It must be nice to have the race card in the back pocket. I don’t have a racist bone in my body. I don’t have tolerance with those with low character and a lack of critical thinking skills. I certainly would not hire a person lacking these important traits.
