It doesn't necessarily but every one of those failed or failing countries shelter terrorists,knowingly or unknowingly who will cut a head off,blow up a bus or train or shoot up people in a second. Furthermore,in failed states like Syria how does one background check? Most "Syrians" are from all over the terror warlands of the Islamic world. Many who are let in,travel back and forth as Jihad terror tourists.
To let people into our country unfettered substantially increases the chances of terror and the organization of cells. Furthermore,it may motivate countries a little more to clean up their own mess. Why should it be America's mess? The President has the Constitutional authority to prevent anybody he wants from entering the country for any reason. Most Americans agree with the President. I think the ban should be expanded.
It won’t. First there are too many muslim terrorists already in western countries. So we have to start with that fact.
The banning or extreme vetting from say 7 countries means that they will simply come in from the other countries.

We should stop immigration to the uS by Muslims and take a hardline on deporting those who espouse violence, plot, attend meetings and so forth. An american who goes to join up or train with terrorists should be put down as a traitor.
