Yeah, no connection to traditional gangs, just some bands that, in an isolated incident, got their hands on some guns, and started shooting at one another. I mean, after all, it's not as if rap and hip-hop is rooted in violent street gangs, and as we all know, Tupac wasn't really gunned down with automatic "assault-style" weapons, he's still alive, in hiding, that's why he keeps putting out albums. /sarc (just in case someone actually needs that tag)
