Decline: 19% Of College Students Think It’s Okay To Shut Down A Speaker With Violence

Is it decline? We all assume that campuses are getting more fascist towards speech, but I don’t know. It may be that there are more students and locals willing to behave violently to silence a speaker nowadays but whether that means the share who are willing to *condone* violence is higher now than it was, say, in the late 1960s is unclear. It’s counterintuitive but conceivable that colleges are more extreme at the fringes but also more tolerant across the mass of the student population.

It would be great to watch an interviewer asking this question to college students and immediately smacking them in the face if they say “Yes”.

I wonder if they would have the same opinion if they were the speakers.just like many immature kings, they only see the world from only their point of view.

That little story was written by James Clavell, author of some of my favorite books (Shogun, Tai-Pan, etc)

Seeing as how I've always used the number 10% as the level of the population that is "bat guano" crazy, it appears to me the "bat guano" population is over-represented in institutions of "higher" learning by 9%. Is this the fruit of "everyone deserves a college education"? Probably. Truth is at least one out every five in college today far from "deserve" to be there. It is time to return to technical schools, apprenticeships, and on-the-job training. This indeed indicates a failure in our education system.

These snowflakes are interesting when they get to the workforce. They can’t believe that company rules and policies apply to THEM. They have no experience in handling problems or differences in opinion.

Did these same 19% campaign to stop bullying in K-12?

Fortunately, those same 19% have never had to “fight” for anything in their lives.

If the Alt Right ever really decided to fight them, it would be short and brutal.

“19% of college students need a good ass kicking!!!”

Maybe a few demonstration knee cappings would calm them down.

The left is a terrible cancer on the country and must be dealt with via political cyberknife so to speak. The object is to destroy the malignant cells.Period.

This excerpt is from the report “A Nation At Risk” commissioned by President Reagan:

“...If an unfriendly foreign power had attempted to impose on America the mediocre educational performance that exists today, we might well have viewed it as an act of war. As it stands, we have allowed this to happen to ourselves. We have even squandered the gains in student achievement made in the wake of the Sputnik challenge. Moreover, we have dismantled essential support systems which helped make those gains possible. We have, in effect, been committing an act of unthinking, unilateral educational disarmament...”

If you come out of college with a degree and a felony record you’re going to have a problem paying back your student loans. A lifetime of rentals in your future.

Thinking back, you’re probably right. There was a lot of cheering and “the score is four” back then, until word got out that at least two of the four dead were not rioters but bystanders. Made it less palatable.

But I would not shed a tear for dead Antifas, BLMs and other assorted communists.

Rule 308 (three-oh-eight)

When Marxist mayors order their police to stand down,
So that Antifa thugs can beat old men to the ground,
Don’t think they’ve surrendered, or been run out of town.
Politicians should consider, and media bosses beware:
When Amendment One is abridged, the Second’s still there,
Just watching and waiting, like a rattlesnake in its lair.
When justice is perverted, and Marxist judges legislate,
When free speech is censored, then banished as hate,
Then the only rule standing will be Rule 308.
