The first time Donald Trump met Angela Merkel, pictures of their awkward non-handshake in the Oval Office went around the world and the months that followed did little to break the ice. But if the 63-year-old chancellor sails her way as widely predicted to a fourth term in Sundays legislative elections, the leaders of the United States and Germany will have to figure out a way to work together in the long term.
Pretty much everything about Mutti, as Europes most influential leader is known at home, sets her apart from the 71-year-old occupant of the White House, from their background to their personality and political style. Merkel is as cautious, low-key and pragmatic as the US president is impulsive, blustery and unpredictable. Since the start of the year, the pastors daughter from East Germany has left the world in little doubt as to her deep differences with the American president the third she has worked with after George W. Bush and Barack Obama. [ ]
Trump and Merkel are oil and water, summed up Charles Kupchan, professor of international affairs at Georgetown University and a former advisor to Obama. Trump made it to the Oval Office by challenging the establishment and promising to discontented Americans that it was time for change. Merkel is the opposite. She keeps winning because she promises Germans business as usual.
The differences between the two run deep.

Obama, on the other hand, was merely....oily.
Good. Murgle is a fat dumb broad that closely resembles Hitler, but this time the German people are the Jews.
I hope you’re not missing the attitude displayed towards Israel.
No but they can’t touch Jews in Israel. This time the master race is muslims. Because they are easy to control with a dictatorship than white Christians.
There, there. Don't fret about that meany Trump. We got plans to impeach him.
If’s she’s the water, it’s the kind from a sewer.
Germany is one of the nations pushing to help Iran to avoid inspections of its nuclear facilities. That’s an anti-Israel attitude. And too bad for Muttley about Hillary losing. She may not get to see a more rapid destruction of the U.S.A. from within after all. Same goes for May and her obvious issue with Hillary. Their efforts to rob the U.S.A. with Obama’s climate change deal without a treaty are obscene.
Trump is trying to save his country & Merkel is trying to destroy hers.
Yes, Merkel is pure EU establishment by way of the old East German communist party. She has never run a business or done anything at all in the private sector. She is a state socialist through and through.

All leftists think they have to tear down their systems in order to build them back up as a tyrannical dictatorship. They need crises that give the possibility, if not probability, of the people demanding the government take more power for themselves (and more freedom away) in order to solve the crises that the government itself creates.
And AfD is running 3rd in recent polls behind Merkel and the SPDs
Well, yeah, cuz’s she’s a Nazi...
Merkel has a strong communist background. Her socialist ideals do not relate to Trump's free enterprise and America First.
Merkel has been freeloading on NATO, contributing far less than her fair share.
Merkel wants to "work through" (and accept) the terrorism her immigration policies entail. We do not know just where she thinks she is going with that, given the rapes, killings, and terror that lie on the horizon as a result of her anti German policies.
She wants to export her destructive and dangerous policies to other EU countries.
It is very sad that there is no alternate to Merkel. Do the people of Germany want more of the same? Are there any men left?
Quick poll:
Who is better looking, Angela Merkel, or Marion Le Pen?
The winner will be deemed worthy of leading their country.
