A group of clergy and lay scholars from around the world have taken the very rare step of presenting Pope Francis with a formal filial correction, accusing him of propagating heresies concerning marriage, the moral life, and reception of the sacraments.

Entitled Correctio filialis de haeresibus propagatis, meaning ‘A Filial Correction Concerning the Propagation of Heresies,’ the 25 page letter was delivered to the Holy Father at his Santa Marta residence on Aug. 11.

What do you want to bet the pope’s response will be to dismiss this correction; scolding them that they’re being too ‘rigid’?

He'll never respond directly, but, yeah, he'll make oblique references to pharisees casting stones, etc.

His minions and sycophants are already responding, though, with ad hominem attacks on the signers as "nobodies," "ultra-traditionalists," "marginal figures," etc. It's pretty rich considering that the Catholic left typically pushes the notion of a horizontal, "priesthood of all believers" sort of Church. Now, it's like, "Oh, when we talked about 'all believers,' we didn't mean you people."

I’ve always thought that all this formal stuff was a bunch of nonsense even though what they are doing is right.

This pope is Pope Heresy.

Frankie and his pals are all the ones who secretly did not like JPII and Benedict and did what they could to resist them while they waited their turn.

And now they have the show. They probably didn't expect so much resistance.

Frankie quoted a heretic in his first letter - Pierre Teilhard de Chardin - the man honored by the anti-Church.

Come Lord Jesus, and hurry.
