NHL season begins Oct 4th.

Not really. It begins in April 2018 when the NHL playoffs start.

"What hurts me more, are those who demand that the protestors be fired, or hurt in any way, or forced to do something they do not believe in. It is tantamount to being made to bake a cake."

No one is being forced to do anything regarding the professional sports brouhaha. But, if memory serves, those Christian Cake makers were actually fined and forced out of business through misuse of the courts and the authority that they wield. Suggesting that these players be fired is simply people stating an opinion or suggestion, which is their right as a form of protest and complaint against their childish, divisive and disrespectful behavior. You're comparison doesn't hold water.

I’m saddened that Rush feels this way. Why let a few BLM Pukes, in consort with The Enemy Media, push us around and tell us what to do?

They’re WINNING! The End Goal here is to stop the Anthem from being played at ANY sporting event, anywhere. They’ve already managed to get God out of our schools, our government and any public places. Heck, they’ve practically gotten God out of Old Time Religions!

The Enemy Media is promoting this. THEY are the ones giving these losers air time. THEY are the ones trying to push the Socialist agenda!

And guess what? Next week it will be something else! Whichever way the wind blows; whatever promotes the Socialist Agenda will be featured. It’s that way on the TV news 24/7!

IMHO, Rush is wrong on this one.

Formerly avid NFL fan here. I’m surprised at how little I miss watching the game. I wonder what the demographics are here. When I was growing up in the 70’s I watched at least one NFL game every Sunday. How many 15 year olds watch the game today? Do any? How will the NFL replace the fans lost to attrition, setting aside those lost because of politics?

It is tantamount to being made to bake a cake.

No, it is not. It is tantamount to the baker's customers taking their business elsewhere over his refusal to bake the cake.

Stop perpetuating this bullsh!t that a private business making its own business decisions is the same as a government agency forcing you to conduct business the way it sees fit.

He stated it was the first Sunday he had not watched an NFL game in 40 years.

It is to late for the NFL to do anything..

There only hope is it stops in a couple of weeks and the fans drift back..

The fun is gone to many adds and to many rules..go back and look at a game from the 1970s

Viewership was down. I wonder how much lower it would’ve been if people didn’t tune in to see who knelt for the pledge and anthem.

You’ve got it all wrong. They have a right to protest when they aren’t involved in their employment. They have no right whatsoever to bring their political protests to their place of work.

I watched all the great games in the 70s when I was a wee lad, and you are right I’ll bet very few kids watch the NFL.

Not only is Rush insightful but he has the ability to explain things that average people like me can understand and relate to.

When you think back on when Rush attempted to buy into an NFL franchise but was ultimately rejected by the NFL, it's now perfectly clear that the underlying reason was not only his nation wide on air influence but their fear of him.

Had he become a part owner, he would have taken a "You're Fired" attitude of anyone on his team that pulled this crap.

I am just amazed at how many did not see this progressing to this end. When they allowed this to start at the first of last year and did nothing, it was only a matter of time before leftists used this to piggyback hatred for our nation trying to shame people into sacrificing allegiance.

I watched no NFL last year except a a guest in someone’s home during the playoffs when making an issue of it would have impacted fellowship and family.

I have watched none since.

Actually that’s between them and their employer as to what’s allowed on company time. And they may have contracts that go beyond the traditional employee/employer relationship.

there isn’t any way that Trump doesn’t win this.

After our morning senior softball game yesterday and we were having a beer at the picnic table, I brought up the topic of Trump's comments to the NFL to a die hard Democrat (He's a typical UAW lifetime Democrat only because.......) and even he finally agreed to what Trump said......

And prior to today's game, he was even more disgusted at the NFL (and our pathetic Lions) and appreciative of Trump's comments.

Just like Hillary's months long predicted win by all the MSM, they've got it all wrong once again. LOL!

I was in college during the early 70’s. Dormitories on Sunday afternoons and Monday nights were full of guys watching the NFL non-stop. Those guys are the NFL fans of today (until now). Advance ahead to 2017 and what do you find? Colleges full of girls and fewer guys. Society telling guys to feminize. Many fewer dorm rooms with the NFL on the TV. And finally, many fewer young males entering into the NFL sphere for the future. The tipping point has been reached and there is no turning back. Kaepernick and Goodell did not cause this but they sure accelerated it. Oh, as for me, I haven’t watched the NFL in years. I still love baseball and would be horrified if the players and the executives wreck that game too. I sure hope not.

Just to say. It’s not just politics.

The flag absolutely transcend politics. It represents our nation, the constitution

Forgive me, But these guys and the ad execs, NFL execs and even the media, pretend it does but they are wrong. They do not have the power to change that

Anyone disrespecting the flag disrespects the country. That is just a fact and it’s why there’s no getting around this thing without taking sides

The sides are America hating and American

People can say that’s political but it is not.

politics does not include being able to hate America That’s called sedition
