I like Bannon, but I don’t think this is helpful.

Trump expressed the thought he may have been wrong to back Strange.

He does have a card to play now, saying he tried to back the party office-holder.

Now he can say that it does no good to go against his base.

He backed Mitch’s boys. No he can ask Mitch to back his play.

Trump will support Moore during the general election run-up.

I agree with what you say here, but the problem may be deeper than just McConnell. I am pretty sure it is.

I disagree. I think it's incredibly helpful. Trump is being shut out (on purpose) from the voices he needs to hear and listening to the wrong people. Trump dodged a bullet with this race, He needs to pay attention to the people OUTSIDE the White House. That is where his base of support lies. He needs to stay up to speed.
