Get your popcorn ready, as Terrell Owens would say.
Despite the controversy swirling around the Colin Kaepernick-inspired NFL player protests for racial justice, CBS Sports told Sporting News it will televise the playing of the national anthem before Thursday night's Packers-Bears game at Lambeau Field.
"The anthem will be live," promised CBS Sports spokeswoman Jennifer Sabatelle.
CBS is handling production on the game that will air on CBS Sports, NFL Network and Amazon Prime Video (8 p.m. ET).
There were loud boos heard in the home stadiums of the Jets, Cardinals and Lions. Will the same thing happen tonight at the Packers' historic home field?
Here's another question: If fans do scream and give the finger to protesting players, will CBS show them? We'll find out.
During Sunday's and Monday's game telecasts, league TV partners such as ESPN, Fox, NBC and CBS refused to show any angry fans even though viewers could hear boos on the audio.

Won’t be watching.
Cant wait to miss it.
They can find out and report back since millions won’t be watching.
If a tree falls in a forest and nobody is there to hear it . . .
There were loud boos heard in the home stadiums of the Jets, Cardinals and Lions.
Uh-huh. And Michael Brown was a big, cuddly, harmless giant, who was just starting to get his life together...
And it don’t matter what the corrupt collusive media and the anti-Americans in the NFL do.
They can’t put the bullet back in the barrel....

Trump right again and TV responds, people only tune in to see which of the millionaire players will indicate they hate their country and their flag.
NFL poked the eye of a sleeping bear. This will not end well for the NFL. No more tax-exempt for NFL!
Usually when the Cowboys play in Arizona, half the crowd are Cowboy fans.
There’ll be a lot more stand-ers, I presume. Already the teams are scrambling to let everyone know that Sunday they’ll be stand-up guys (ha).
It just doesn’t matter now. They can stand at perfect attention, cover their hearts, sing at the top of the their lungs in perfect harmony, but the damage is done. They’ve already revealed what they think and what “unifies” them.
Dang, I’m going to miss it. I have to give my goldfish a bath.
Cardinals were the home team.
That made it even stranger.
Forget it! The NFL is Gone with Wind!
NO NFL in my House!
No sale.
No apologies yet?
Best damage control would be the team leaders having a sign that reads "We love our country, and President Trump". But will never happen, so screw 'em.
