I may be of a thought running contrary to others here -but...
If history teaches us anything, it would be that when Republicans have had the majority, but did nothing tangible WITH That majority - voters have handed the majority back to the Democrats.
Flash back to GW Bush’s time in office. Majority in both houses - and nothing significant was done, and rapidly Republicans lost the majorities in both houses.
Voters put Republicans in office for many reasons, not the least of which was Obamacare. Nearly every Republican elected in the last several years ran on a promise to repeal Obamacare... yet what has been accomplished? Congress had a backbone when Obama was in office and they knew he would veto anything they passed regarding healthcare. Now that we have a Republican POTUS - they can’t get ANYTHING done.
And it would not surprise me a bit if the GOP quickly looses their majority. Then the Dems will not hesitate to initiate impeachment proceedings... and the remaining Republicans won’t have the backbone to stop it.

Anyway, MN-1 is perhaps the GOP’s best pick up opportunity. 2016 nominee Jim Hagedorn has competition from State Senator Carla Nelson, she represents Rochester, the largest city in the district.
