Leftist students at the University of California-Berkeley tried to shut down a mid-term exam, in part, because the professor was a white man, and demanded "significant time to prepare" for an alternative take-home exam.
The professor, Harley Shaiken, is a Professor of Social and Cultural Studies at the Graduate School of Education and is a member of the Department of Geography. He specializes in issues of work, technology, and global productions, and has advocated for improved workers' rights in Mexico, but that wasn't enough for the protestors.
"Well-beings are being put on the line because of the emotional, mental, and physical stress that this university is compounding with what is already going on in [their] everyday lives," one student said.
"This is our mental health. This is our physical health. This is…um," another demonstrator said before trailing off, scratching her head and turning to another protestor.
"I don’t know why you’re still, like, sitting down, y’all. I don’t understand. I really don’t understand. Y’all can take your f—ing test, but people are dying out there," another protestor said before then accusing students of supporting white supremacy.
Professor Shaiken offered to continue the conversation outside, but the protesters refused and said were going to the Department of Ethnic Studies to complain, an action Shaiken said they were "more than welcome to do."
Too funny.
This professor appears to be on the liberal/left side of things, but is not left enough to make these radical students happy.
Amazing isn’t it.
Professor is a white man? Unless he is homosexual he just isn’t a member of a recognized grievance group.
Oh yeah right, I am SURE the Chinese, Japanese and South Koreans will give these snowflakes LOTS of extra time to prepare for business meetings!!!

These colleges are about to take a fall like you wont believe. They will be replaced with actual learning centers teaching skills needed by society and based on merit for grades and standing among students. The age of fraudulent “ education” is just about over teaching sexual identity and the contribution of the aboriginal to the outback. . Billions have been wasted on this nothingness. I know a very bright young man graduating high school soon. He has arranged with an auditing firm to start as a trainee at 32k. His career track will carry him over 80k in 4 years. Instead of blowing 300k on worthless crap, he will have made over 250k . That a half million swing.
Take them home you get a grade of F. Or so you will understand , Failure.
Even if you let these affirmative action students take the test as open book, they will still score in the bottom half of the class.
Student - We demand to take the test home.
Me (if professor) - Sure go right ahead, just don’t bother to bring it back.

Idiots. Take home exams are the worst. The misery of taking the exam is prolonged, and some eager beaver always uses the full eight, 12, or 24 (or whatever) hours and wrecks the curve for everyone else. Better to get it over with in an hour or two.
We have a peoblem with seditious mentality in Berkley as well genocidal intensions.
Maybe if he cracked the head open of a Trump supporter with a club or U-lock, he might gain some respect from these folks.

These kids will never amount to a damned thing. Their “education” is a giant waste of taxpayer $, too, and should be terminated forthwith. Send the lipathetuc little brats home to their obviously-failed parents. Send the savings back to the taxpayers
