Facts as I see them.

He was evil.

He had clearly inherited “weirdness”

He did not suddenly snap- lots of planning, days to setup hotel rooms, alone

He seemed to have started planning maybe 6 months to year ago... what triggered that? Maybe bad health diagnosis, radicalization, change of monetary or love interest for the worse. Or some combo?

He clearly lost a lot of weight between recent and earlier pics. Working out/ training for this or bad physical/mental health? Eyes did not look like sleep was good. No drinks on the cart outside room, but he had been a drinker. Did he stop? Why?

Motive will be revealed in the answers to these questions.

I watched the first six episodes of a limited TV series called The Sinner, in which a seemingly normal housewife (Jessica Biel) tending to her child at a beach suddenly stabs a fellow beachgoer to death with a knife she was using to peel and apple. She pleads guilty to the crime, and the case is seemingly wrapped up, but the lead detective (Bill Pullman) keeps digging to find out WHY she did it. He eventually uncovers a horrifying abduction and other abuse in her past, and a song associated with that incident likely provided the trigger for her to commit this murder five years later.

This is what the Las Vegas investigation seems like, a real-life version of The Sinner. But we may never know why this punk-@$$ killer went over the edge, because he's dead.
