Sometimes I think the NRA needs to move out of the DC area and hire staff with more fight in them. Men who actually practice with guns. The leftist culture of that area has a way of rubbing off on conservstives who stay there too long.

We need a national conversation on abortion. We need reasonable, sensible restrictions on abortions. Democrats are beholden to the abortion lobby. See, I can play this game too.

Reports say that he had purchased more than 30 guns in the last year. Passed the background check on all of them. However, this did not raise any red flags with those in charge of those background checks?

So what we have here is the government not doing their job as usual and they want MORE laws?

EFF THEM!!

Rest assured the Democrats will try to pad the bill with every wet dream anti-gun law they have had for the last 60 years, even things having nothing to do with bump stocks.

Are you saying they want the same thing as the Left.

I would agree with that.

Not sure which comments you’re referring to.

In some of them, I propose to tie the bump stock legislation to the defunding of Planned Parenthood.

We either get to cut off funds, or the Left would back off.

It won’t stop anything

But this ban is a fait accompli

Your reference of FOX News as Faux Snooz proves to me that you are nothing but a troll. So crawl back under your rock from which you crawled out from.

The NRA is clambering to get behind the ban as well.

This paragraph below is from our “beloved Senator from CT,” Chris Murphy:

This hole in their argument is so glaring that even some of the media have noticed it. Last year, ABC News’s Jon Karl asked Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), “Why are we focusing on things that have nothing to do with the massacres that we are responding to?” Murphy responded, “WE CAN’T GET INTO THIS TRAP IN WHICH WE ARE FORCED TO DEFEND OUR PROPOSALS SIMPLY BECAUSE IT DIDN’T STOP THE LAST TRAGEDY.” But obviously Karl’s question wasn’t just limited to the most recent attack.

Republicans don’t do things like that. If they go along with the bumpfire legislation the Democrats will then say but we won’t let you have that unless you agree to ban Echo triggers and have universal background checks. Republicans will say they are trapped and have to go along to get the bumpfire legislation which supposedly they really didn’t want in the first place. When that stuff gets written in there will be another round of additions that will go through the same process. I hope that that Trump vetoes whatever they are “trapped” into proposing.

"We need a national conversation on abortion. We need reasonable, sensible restrictions on abortions. Democrats are beholden to the abortion lobby. See, I can play this game too."

------

Considering how many babies are murdered every day, and each of their mothers wounded for life, I think we have more call to attach that to any bill at all, especially where they claim it's "for the children".

"THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING."

Yeah, we know what they are doing, too. Republicans see their cozy little buddy system with "their colleagues across the aisle" starting to unravel, and are starting to panic.

They want their long term bennies package to continue, now that they are on the track to become millionaires.

Not a fight worth having let em ban the stocks and move on. Amazing how fast they can move when the Rats have an issue in their sail.

Mitch, is that you? Really? You give up that easy based on a false premise? What part of that shooting did you have part in? None, right? Then why should you give one inch just because someone else did something stupid...and illegal.

“...It’s just dumbfounding how bad Ryan and McConnell are....”

Well, no, it isn’t. Once you realize they all belong to the same party, the UniParty, it becomes quite clear. Eddie Munster & the Post Turtle are just the GOPe arm of the UniParty. They think they’ve fooled the “unwashed masses” into thinking there are 2 separate parties. there isn’t; just the UniParty. Once that’s understood, there’s nothing “dumbfounding” about it.

You might be on to something. A few years ago, we were camping in northern Virginia in the winter. Our plan was to break camp Sunday and go to the National Firearms Museum at NRA.

We got walloped with a little blizzard that dumped about ten inches of snow. But, being Virginia, it warmed up in the morning. We broke camp and drove to the museum on clear roads, pulled into a clear, plowed parking lot to find the place closed up tight. Bunch of big tough sportsmen close up cause of a little snow.

I kind of feel the same way. I just don’t want to give these commies an inch without getting something in return. Plus, we don’t know the whole Vegas story either.

“They need to stop screwing around with crap like “gun control” — and get back to work repealing Obamacare and lowering and simplifying taxes.”

Our critters bitch for seven years that they can’t wait to repeal Obamacare—if they just had Congress and the WH!
Since getting what they so badly wanted, it’s been like watching paint dry.
But now that they see a “crisis” and can join with their fellow #nevertrumpers across the aisle and chip away at the 2nd Amendment, they’re regular balls o’ fire.
B******s.

So what we have here is the government not doing their job as usual and they want MORE laws?

The Federal Government has no authority to track the number of purchases or the rate at which we buy them. There is nowhere on the background check form, nor is there any reporting, if a weapon was then purchased after the check or the description of the weapon.

Many background checks are performed and then for reasons other than denials a weapon is not purchased.
