The chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said Thursday that some news outlets will be left “with egg on their face” over their reporting on the Russia investigation.
North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr issued the warning in an interview with CNN. He had been asked to respond to a tweet from President Trump calling on the committee to look into “Fake News Networks” in order to “see why so much of our news is just made up.”
“FAKE!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

In his remarks on Thursday, Burr did not say which news outlets have given inaccurate coverage of the Russia probe. But he said that the outlets will be held “accountable.”
“If, in fact, we find that news organizations have not covered it factually, I think that you’ll see that in our report,” Burr told CNN.

Burr clarified that the Senate committee is not investigated news outlets. Instead, the panel will be “holding them accountable for what they say with no sources to substantiate the facts.”

While there is little argument that Burr and Warner are bottom feeders in the swamp, my bet is that they are keeping these “important hearings” going as a means of further disrupting Trump’s agenda at the behest of the Senate “leadership.” Personally, I can’t wait for Marsha Blackburn to become a Senator. She will rip Bitch McConnell a new a$$hole and do it in public.

Richard Burr is my North Carolina Senator and I can’t stand him.
He and Mark Warner were never-Trumpers, so I’m not surprised that they’re still trying to find or concoct something against the President.
It is an outrage how their spending taxpayer money and wasting the government’s time on a non-event.
I was living in NC when he ran for Senate the first time, helped put him there and I was less than impressed as well.
I’ve had some thoughts about the Meuller investigation goint back 7 years. I talked to a missionary who spent 25 years in Russia. He said no business occurs in Russia without a bribe. I suspect that is what Meuller is looking for; a bribe.
If Meuller is looking for evidence of a bribe, look no further than the Clinton Foundation.
