Gunman's brother: 'If a lot of these hotels say they don’t know Steve, they’re lying'
LA Times ^ | 10/4/2017 | Laura J. Nelson and Matt Pearce

Posted on 10/05/2017 6:22:13 PM PDT by Zhang Fei

"We’re wealthy people," Eric Paddock said. "$100,000 isn’t that much money.... He gambled that much through a machine in hours.... He’s got the highest level of membership card at a lot of these [casino] hotels. If a lot of these hotels say they don’t know Steve, they’re lying."

(snip)

Paddock remembered his brother as a man who used his money to take care of his family financially. "He helped make me and my family wealthy. I mean, he’s the reason I was able to retire three years ago when I got really burned out doing the job I did," Eric Paddock said.

(snip)

"He didn’t have a lot of friends," Paddock continued. "He was a private person. There’s a story about that he’s, ‘ohhhh, he kept his shades closed, and he didn’t talk to me for the first three times he saw me walking in the neighborhood.’ Wow. That makes him really weird, doesn’t it? He was a private guy. That’s why you can’t find out anything about him, that’s why there’s no pictures. Is he such a weirdo because he didn’t have a Facebook page and posted 50,000 damn pictures of himself every day? Who’s weird?"

(snip)

But, of his brother's attack, Paddock said: "This is 100% Steve, did this by himself. People can’t seem to cope with that either. But Steve is a — was a — highly intelligent, highly successful person. He could have done anything he wanted to do. And he did. He made himself wealthy. He made us wealthy. He was a very successful person. He gambled for 20-plus years, successfully. It’s like a job to him. He did it mathematically."

There is no way he could've done this without AT LEAST having a GOOGLE SEARCH HISTORY somewhere!

I can go to the public library and go anywhere on the internet and it would never be traced back to me.

“And the machines are programmed to pay out only about 75% of the money they take in.”

The US Gov could take a lesson from them - the country wouldn’t be in debt!

This is....kind of intriguing to me. I don’t know what to make of it because there’s no real way to know if his sources are solid.

But last evening there was talk online and on Fox that the motive is known and will shock people. And that it would come out in next day or two.

“sometimes a psycho killer is just that, other times maybe not. Hey that could be quotable!”

I think Mound’s Almond Joy Bar beat you to it with “Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t.”.

“if Steve was a white nationalist he would not have shot up a country music concert. “

Are you implying country music is white nationalist?

Less than a year ago this guy started his gun buying binge. What happened to trigger him? What was his motivation?

I would hope they have some idea what’s what and are going to make it public, but I’m not counting on it.

You can’t make money gambling against a machine.

Bull, you just have to know when it is time to play the machine. I see it all the time at my bar. The smart players know when a machine is going to hit and that is when they play it.

If he is connected to some type or cartel he may have know the entire roof was about to come down around them. MOB — whore houses. Who knows what he was involved with — it certainly wasn’t just real estate!

My bet is that he has reason to be worried.

The brother and his family show up at the same addresses as Stephen in public records all over the country over the past couple of decades!

At my library you have to put in username and password before you logon-——and ID was necessary to set up an account.

Yours doesn’t?

You won’t be able to get comped a room by 104 casinos in a month. That would be mathematically impossible. lol. Believe me, he would have been watched like a hawk because of the fact that he used to be an accountant. And the way he played. We already have a report from one casino worker that said he some times won. Heck, he could have been laundering money into the casino too.

I think most libraries have cams, also.

I think the ‘mob’ is entrenched on the reservations...
However that could be the “non existent” Mafia or Russian gangsters.... or even the cartels...like someone said earlier NO ONE in power minds you ‘laundering’ 100 grand and going home with 75, ‘everybody’ involved in that scheme is happy.

No taxes, no interference, sell anything...

Apparently the ‘residents’ of the Reservations are not a whole lot better off than they were before they ‘struck it rich’.

Like certain countries, sure the ‘despots’ are living high on the hog and passing the crumbs down to the peasants.
