California can now start jailing people that refuse to use the preferred gender pronouns of nursing home residents after Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown signed the bill Thursday.
The law’s effect is limited to nursing homes and other long-term care facilities, but mandates that those who “willfully and repeatedly” refuse “to use a transgender resident’s preferred name or pronouns” can be slapped with a $1,000 fine and up to one year in prison, according to the California Heath and Safety code.
Known as the “LGBT Senior Bill Of Rights,” the legislation also requires nursing homes and care facilities to allow residents to use the bathroom of their choice, regardless of biological sex. The bill’s author, state Sen. Scott Weiner, argues that religious views don’t hold weight in public areas.
“Everyone is entitled to their religious view,” Wiener said. “But when you enter the public space, when you are running an institution, you are in a workplace, you are in a civil setting, and you have to follow the law.”
Wiener also released a statement thanking Brown for signing the bill.

Trot them out, I want to see them for myself!
Simply use their first and last name when addressing them.
If they request you address them by another name, use it.
Do not refer to gender at all.
No more “Mr., Mrs., Miss., Stevens. From now on it’s “Bill”, “Bolinda”, or “Sally” Stevens.
Bolinda Stevens, how are you today?
Bill Stevens, do you need to go to the bathroom?
Sally Stevens, are you ready to eat?

Yeah, my state of CA is a sanctuary for illegal invaders, but they will jail anyone who uses the "wrong" pronoun. I can't wait to get out of what has become a hellhole of a state.

Like we are usually greeted at tables of WOMEN, “Hey guys, know what you want to order?” !!!!! I sometimes wonder if they’d ask a table of guys, “Hey gals, know what you want to order??”!!!!!!!

It’s only a code which means there is no precedence because it has never been tested in court.

Seriously, how many transgendered nursing home residents are there? I’m guessing ZERO.
They did this just to set a precedent.
But it’s a horrible precedent.
If you can be jailed for calling someone by the wrong pronoun. Then you can be jailed for calling someone a name.

I don’t know why conservative Christians continue to live in such an awful, tyrannical state as California.
