We have a kakocracy ruling this country. Betters? Ha! The worst.
>>” the Golden Corral of the mind”<<
When undertaking to scold people for being elitist, it is generally a bad idea to be guilty of elitism.
I think Golden Corral is pretty good and a heck of value for the $.
I guess I am too middle-America for the author.
One thing I learned years ago is when making an argument, avoid embellishments since if your embellishment gets shot down, so does your argument.
Another brilliant column by Schlichter.
I swoon.
To help make, or at the least to allow to manifest, problems with one hand, and to hold up false solutions with the other hand that are designed to accumulate money and power; that is what our betters are better at. We are a nation that allows sociopaths to promote themselves by any clever means necessary and marvels at their power and arrogance like fan girls.
BTTT
These are supposed to be our betters???? I don’t think so.

The MSM can easily (and does) manufacture a cult of personality around otherwise worthless and even criminal people who have nothing to recommend themselves to our notice much less our approval or adulation.

Therefore, those that think themselves ‘the betters’ can go wet a rope!
I like Golden Corral but I acknowledge that it ain’t fine dinning and is best for kids, seniors and large hungry bus groups.

It's also engineering, physics, chemistry, accounting, supply-chain management, and so on.
I love the folks bitching about his Golden Corral comment. His point is valid—college was supposed to be for cultivating the elite among our society, instead it’s been devolved into an overpriced, bland, anti-intellectual experience.
Golden Corral is fine for what it is, but it sure as hell ain’t “elite.”
