What a surprise that the National Felon League would support sentencing reform.

It has become very clear that it is just about wealth transfers to black people; adjust behavior accordingly.

“We felt that this was an issue over the last months, as we have continued to work with our players on issues of equality and on issues of criminal justice reform, that was surfaced for us, and we thought it was appropriate to lend our support to it,” NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart told reporters.

The sheer stupidity of the NFL managers is something to behold! Amazing!

I guess that this kind of response reminds me of Venezuela being run by thugs. How is that working out? Why would the NFL owners want to emulate that management style? The results are plainly predictable. Fans and their money are being withdrawn from the NFL forever. Recovery and restoration are highly questionable.

Playing football is now secondary to imagined and questionable social justice issues.

Letting ignorant but rich thugs run the place NEVER works.

Joe Lockhart is a refugee from the Clinton administration, IIRC.

Agreed. That alone should cost them their non-profit status.

Actually, the reform bill looks like a good idea. But the NFL has no business getting involved.

You know, the ancient Romans had a policy of Bread and Circuses. That being that they could do anything they wanted politically (war, steal from the treasury, abuse the provinces, murder enemies, etc) as long as they subdued the population with a welfare allotment (free bread!) and free entertainment (Gladiators! Chariots!).

If they mixed politics in with the circuses it was only to brag about how great Rome was. "Let's recreate this huge victory!"

Today we have bread (welfare) and circuses (sports) but the athletes are making a big mistake: injecting politics into sports in a way that is negative about the nation. Such a stupid mistake, all it's doing is creating more friction and dissent amongst the people. Fools, they are messing up the recipe.

I have heard enough.

NFL players should get the double the sentences with no parole.

They better hope I am never on a jury in their cases.

NFL players, if you want to do politics, get off the football field and go into local politics or do your protesting on your own time, not during game time. Quit football or shut up and play the game.

OR anytime CITIZENS provide a service for anyone connected to the NFL we should give them a 15 minute lecture on OUR POLITICS. That includes selling them shoes, serving them a drink, giving an estimate on how much a room addition will cost etc... Two can play their vile game of 'biggest bully'...

Rapists, racists, drug addicts, boys who father multiple children out of wedlock, boys who are constantly arrested for violence, boys who glorify rappers with racist/homophobic/misogynist lyrics....now tell me again why we are supposed to listen when these a-holes preach to us?
