So what. Of course he is.
Islamic nations need Islamic leaders, just as Christian nations need Christians.

No.
How do YOU propose that we stop them?
Another 4000 no-account small-town heroes dead, another 30 000 maimed, and when it's over and Kamala Harris is President, you start begging for Gulf War IV?
You're the one who needs to make a realistic proposal, superior to getting the hell out of the borderlands of Islam and letting them sort their own sh*t out.
I don’t know if it is true in the long run and if it would work,
But as for Turkey, the Kurds should outnumber the Turks in the near future, meaning by about 2040. Maybe they can bide their time in the meantime. That’s not that far away.

US Fears Iran, IS Could Be Big Winners in Clashes over Kirkuk

US: No evidence of Iran role
...
Yet a U.S. military spokesman said Tuesday that the U.S.-led coalition had not seen any evidence of Iran's influence or involvement.
"Those are Iraqi Security Force elements, like the counterterrorism service, the federal police," Operation Inherent Resolve spokesman Col. Ryan Dillon told Pentagon reporters. "We don't have any reporting or any indications that there are units in and around Kirkuk of the elements [from the PMU or Iran]."
The comments, combined with the assertion made Monday by U.S. President Donald Trump that the U.S. is "not taking sides" in the dispute between the Iraqi government and Kurdish officials, is causing additional concerns.
One can read the whole article but at the same time, let's not go overboard that Iranian forces are controlling everything the Iraqi government is doing.
That’s incorrect. The US changed policy. Its up to the gulf nations to clean thier own house. The US will give support if needed.
The days of getting entangled in turf wars is over.
Erdogan is a jihdist, on the side of the enemy. He’s looking to build the caliphate in Ankara. Is that a little clearer?
