Not sure what the problem is? Hawaii pays out the highest welfare payments of any state in the country can’t those people living on 50K a year?

The USSC has determined that vagrancy isn’t a crime, so strong vagrancy laws are a bit difficult.

Damn straight! I think all the big cities that have homeless problems should just give them a one way ticket to Hawaii.

Yes, and it started with Jerry Rivers (Geraldo Rivera) at Willowbrook State Hospital on Staten Island, NY in 1972. I was living on Staten Island at that time and they just released people who had nowhere to go and wound up homeless on the streets! Horrible.

The projects failed because it was government-subsidized with strict rules for landlords, like rent-control laws.

And I am not envisioning "projects," like in the Cabrini-Green sense. I am saying if property tax laws were reformed, and if local governments got out of the way of the landlords and there was no Section 8 housing or rent-control laws, then the market would respond by building beautiful residential towers.

And these towers don't have to be luxury types. They can be the non-descript towers you see all over China. Micro-apartments of 300 sq ft which is enough for the homeless to sleep and to s/s/s (s--t, shower, and shave) in the bathroom.

Here the homeless invaded 2 parks...in Tampa, parks closes at sundown, but the homeless live in one. I say put all of the homeless on Palmyra Island. (I was thinking of an island near Alaska, but they wouldn’t survive. At least Palmyra would be warm, so they can take baths...)

They would only do the first of the s-s-s.
Why would they bother with the second and third ones?

Around Los Angeles there are many encampments.
Google: homeless in los angeles

In Sepulvada Dam area there is a creek. Many homeless sleeping in the brush and trees. The water is filthy and there is trash everywhere in the creek.

The democrats have brought this. Meanwhile the gov’t workers get fat pensions and the rest of us high taxes and bad roads.
