Fats Domino dead at 89

Fats Domino, who sang such hits as "Ain't That A Shame" and "Blueberry Hill," died Tuesday, the coroner's office said. He was 89.

At least in appearance, Domino was no Elvis Presley. He stood 5-feet-5 and weighed more than 200 pounds (91 kilograms), with a wide, boyish smile and a haircut as flat as an album cover.

Richie sang the theme to “Blueberry Hill” several times during the series as I remember (whenever he met a hot girl.) It was his expected reaction.

He almost died during Katrina. After a few days of looking for him they found him floating down a road hanging on to a tree limb or something. He lost his house and everything else, but the good Lord let him live for a few more years.
