Democracy for America (DFA) denounced Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ralph Northam on Thursday after Northam flip-flopped in favor of banning sanctuary cities. Ralph Northam flip-flopped this week, signaling that if elected governor he would sign legislation to ban sanctuary cities in the commonwealth of Virginia.
“If that bill comes to my desk … I sure will. I’ve always been opposed to sanctuary cities. He knows that,” Northam said, speaking of his Republican opponent, Ed Gillespie.
In response to Northam’s flip-flop, Democracy for America disavowed the Democratic gubernatorial candidate and pledged to stop supporting him for the remainder of the election.
Charles Chamberlain, executive director of Democracy for America, said in a statement:
Ralph Northam’s gutless, politically senseless, and morally debased decision yesterday to openly backtrack on his commitment to standing up for immigrant families is a picture-perfect example of why Democracy for America never endorsed him in the primary and focused the entirety of our efforts in Virginia on down-ticket races, like Justin Fairfax’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor. It’s also why, today, we’re announcing that we will no longer do any work to directly aid Northam’s gubernatorial efforts.
Despite our profound reservations about Northam’s commitment to the inclusive populist agenda Democrats need to embrace to win, following the conclusion of Virginia’s Democratic primary, we have continued to work alongside the Virginia Democratic Coordinated campaign for our endorsed candidates, raise tens of thousands of dollars in grassroots donations, and make tens of thousands of calls to voters to expand the electorate.

Isn’t it fun to watch a Dem candidate version of Todd Akin?
Liberal Dems tried to push through a liberal and they ended up with Northam who is more centrist than they like.
Republicans ended up with GOP man Gillespie rather then the conservative.

I have an ever increasing “spiritual” sense of feeling and charm, that Republican, Ed Gillispie is going to be elected the Governor of the “great” State of Virginia next Tuesday, November 7, 2017!!!
POTUS, Trump, “I know you are heading out to the Pacific today...but, how about taping a thirty second, video in support of Gillespie. I know you are backing him 100%...but every little bit of word from you helps dramatically, sir!!!
Ya know brothers and sisters in Virginia....that if you all vote Gillespie in as your Governor, you get a “two for one” prize. you get Gillespie as the Governor and....You literally destroy the Democrat Party as a functioning political organization, nationwide!!! Do it...big time!!! MAGA!!!
This is another example of how the left is losing basically every battle this year!

The left has endured two further body blows in recent weeks. The first, of course, is the revelation that the infamous” Russian “dossier” was ordered and paid for by Hillary and the DNC. The second is the fact that Tony Podesta was forced to stand down from his own lobbying firm.
These come on top of an entire year of disaster piled on disaster for the U.S. left – the 2016 election, the exposure of Harvey Weinstein and numerous other leftist Hollywood grandees as sexual criminals, the collapse of the effort to mainstream antiwhite sentiments through the NFL.
The American left is beginning to look like nothing other than a defeated army in its last weeks in the field – the Army of Northern Virginia in 1865, the German Imperial Army in 1918, or Hitler’s Wehrmacht in 1945. These armies, once considered invincible, were in the end frozen in posture of total defeat. They could scarcely make a single move. Everything they did led to another defeat. They were doomed, they knew it, and they had no way out.

I listened this a.m. to Jeff Katz’ show on Richmond’s WRVA. Just as I pulled up into the parking lot at work, he announced a researcher had discovered Northam’s campaign had in fact coordinated with the “Latino Victory” group in the production of the despicable “running over immigrant kids” ad. Katz was prepped to interview her 7:45. Hopefully, this will gain steam over the final few days.
So if he “flipp flopped” when did he say he supported Sanctuary Cities?
This is similar to gun control a few years back - when the leftists have to lie about their intentions, you’re making progress.
If they are “Democracy for America” why don’t they stop supporting “Sanctuary Cities” as overwhelmingly the American people are against it. You know, vote on it.
Oh, I get it, “Democracy” for them is when they can force their way on everyone else. A one world government kinda thingie, for our own good of course...

It’s not apples v. oranges. It’s golden delicious v. red delicious.
Trump is going to balance the USA budget deficit in about 24 months by refusing to send Federal $$$$ to areas/cities/counties/states that are supporting sanctuary for illegals.
One county near San Fran depends on the Feds for over 60% of their spending in their budget. I am going to celebrate when Trump shuts off the faucet of money over this issue.
