Both Bush Presidents Lash Out At Trump, GHW Confirms He Voted For Hillary

The fading Republican establishment remains unable to reconcile its ongoing collapse, and continues to scapegoat Donald Trump for all the GOP’s troubles instead of looking in the mirror.

Two weeks after an outraged George W. Bush lashed out at Trump, accusing him of emboldening “bigotry and white supremacy“, on Saturday we learn just how deep the animosity toward Trump runs within the extended Bush household. In a new book to be released this month from historian Mark Updegrove, titled “The Last Republicans“, and previewed on Saturday by the NYT and CNN, former President George H.W. Bush said he considers Trump a “blowhard,” only interested in feeding his own “ego.” Meanwhile, his son, former President George W. Bush, thinks Trump fans public anger and came to office without any understanding of the job.

When asked about Donald Trump in May 2016, GHW Bush said: “I don’t like him … I don’t know much about him, but I know he’s a blowhard. And I’m not too excited about him being a leader.”

His son was just as vocal: “Wow, this guy doesn’t know what it means to be president,” the junior Bush said, indicating that a president should not “exploit the anger, incite it” but rather “come up with ideas to deal with it.”

(snip)

In any case, both former presidents worry that Mr. Trump has blown up a Republican Party that they spent two lifetimes building; Dubya also told Updegrove: “I’m worried that I will be the last Republican president.”

41 and 43 have sh!t themselves in public.

It’s just incredible to see two former presidents embarrass themselves like this. They’ve forever tarnished whatever small legacies they had remaining.

The Bushes disgust me.

The recent photos of the 5 living ex presidents was a strong reminder of how we got to this point in our history. Carter only had one term and Ronaldus Magnus saved us for a while. It took 7 presidential terms...28 years...to bring us right to the brink.

President Trump is giving us some breathing room, but the elitist club and the professional political class must be taken down. And that is just for starters.

I hope George Jr. is enjoying watching his political future circle the bowl. He won't even get as much support as Daddy Jeb did in the primaries.

Trump must be needling into something huge.... He seems to have spooked every current and former member of the political class, R & D alike.

It’s as though they were protecting something diabolical that could ensnare them all.

Am I off?

Reagan was an anomaly in the GOP. The Bushes are the norm. This deceptive party of fake conservatism needs to end.

Takeover: The 100-year war for the soul of the GOP and how conservatives can finally win it

"One hundred and two years ago Teddy Roosevelt split the Republican Party to advance his progressive agenda. Progressivism, or Big Government Republicanism, became the philosophy of the Republican Party's establishment elite. Fifty years ago conservatives began a battle for control of the party. Now is the time for conservatives to finish the job and take back the Republican Party."

To honor E. Pluribus Unum and his repeated gif posting of Hillary's 9/11 performance, whenever I see a W-related posting, I will post this pic:

There are still a few things that I like about both GHW and W.

And, there are some major difs that I have with both of them, starting with amnesty for illegal aliens. Neither had a successful presidency, and both must feel somewhat ashamed and unfulfilled.

I do suspect that they have a personal disregard for Trump because of Jeb's embarrassing plummet from the political stage, and they think that son/bro Jeb would have been a good pres (he would have been absolutely horrible, but that's not my point.)

My point is that the Bushes have made Jeb's defeat personal, and they should really rise above it.

George W. Bush is proof that a dumb son can become President.

Trump Jr & Eric are proof that wise sons will be President!

So, they voted for Hillary who sold 20% of the US’ uranium reserves to Russia. They think they are so smart and classy. In reality they are like Obama and the Clintons, traitors.

He’s another guy who should probably be thoroughly investigated, like Spacey and Weinstein, (although I think he had most of his “exotic toe encounters” with hookers, and I think he also eventually turned against the Clintons, if I’m not mistaken).

>>>“You’re a tough guy, Jeb”

Yep. I really think this is personal. Trump humiliated their brother/son.

It’s personal, the rest is just rationalizing.

This is one of the many reasons why Jeb was a non-entity to conservative voters.

I am so ticked off that GWB was silent during the global communist dictator’s term and now opens his mouth. Wish I never voted for him!
