Looks like the least little thing would cause them to fall down. Kim could stand outside those houses and huff and puff and blow them over.

My first thought was 50 miles and couldn’t figure it - I guess they don’t want tunnels heading out any more than we (and Israel) want tunnels heading in....

They may just be trying to improve the sight lines from the apartment buildings and create a Potemkin village effect. I doubt they’ll be tearing down that large government building near the river.

That’s why I’m concerned about building a wall to keep people out: the next administration could easily take advantage of the fact that walls stop people going either direction.

Considering we would still have three borders that are wide open I think you are worrying about the wrong things.

I’m pretty sure authoritarian rule passed down from father to son is called a kingdom.

There have been calls to close those too - even though they’re basically walls as well (can’t just head east/west without real resources, going north is too cold and occupied by “where are your papers?” socialists).

But this NorK wall IS on the north border on the Yalu River- “To prevent the Chinese from getting information (and people) in”
Yeah, right.

going north is too cold and occupied by where are your papers? socialists). Too cold?
"Yep, I would love to escape my tyrannical government by walking across a line but there is SNOW up there!" Said no one ever.
As to them being where are your papers? socialists so are the guys to the south to a far greater extent.
At least to the north they can speak English. As to the water being a barrier, there is this marvelous invention called a "boat". They have only been around for a few thousand years so maybe you have not heard of them yet.
Of all the reasons for being against building a wall on the southern boarder that pretty much has to be the silliest I have ever run into.

Oh, 50m...meters...at first I was interpreting that as fifty MILES. A darned big buffer zone!

Thanks TigerLikesRooster. Those displaced can be moved into those model Potemkin villages up at the cease-fire line. /sarc
