Actually, he vetoed 12 and had 4 overridden.
Obama vetoed 12, too.
Most presidents vetoed around 36, several over 300.

Not in his first term, but he vetoed some in his second term, particularly on expansion [Embryonic] Stem Cell Research expansion and CHIP expansion.

W did not veto a single bill sent to his desk. "W" vetoed 12 bills. Four of these vetoes were overridden. Obama also vetoed 12 bills. Both of these seem low compared to a lot of other presidents, but the Wikipedia page on presidential vetoes does not show the number of bills that came to the desk of each president so you can't tell the percentage.
