More ranting and stupidity from a party who doesn’t understand why they are hated.

The difference between ‘whither’ and ‘wither’ is rather important, right? Well, maybe not....

Instead, the party of the people is withering.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Because the citizens figured out they were not the people the party cared about.
Democrats are the party of the fraudulently documented foreigners.
Considering what transpires on the COLLEGE Campus of today,
we are possibly better served by a large polulation on NON-COLLEGE “EDUCATED” citizens.
The people that day by day actually BUILD this country, keep it up and running, and all too often sacrifice themselves in its protection.
Propose drastic remedies? The remedies are to simply not do what liberals want done.
Wow, with guys like this, they will continue their downward slide forever.
These are people, based on social class, who should be Democrats.
"Based on social class" -- Dems always put people into buckets or classes. That is why normal, ordinary, everyday Americans absolutely HATE Democrats. Yet even this guy writing about possible fixes cannot help himself. The first thing he does is put the people they want to woo back into a bucket. They would then pit this bucket against the homo bucket, the trans bucket, the woman bucket, the ghetto bucket, the illegal immigrant bucket. They just don't get it.
Democrats need to nominate more compelling candidates, who can narrate the grievances of ordinary Americans in a convincing way and propose drastic remedies.
He just cannot help himself, can he?. They want to capture people by appealing to their "grievances." Every person in their many buckets has "grievances." Again, they would have to pit every bucket of people with their own pet "grievances" against each other. There is NO WAY to win that with so many competing "grievances." It is doomed to fail.
It is so funny that he cannot see he is perpetuating their very fundamental problems with his proposed fixes. They just cannot see the way for the nation to succeed and win is getting government out of the way, ending all this bucket- and grievance-focused politics, and embracing freedom and liberty for all.
Somehow... Somehow... They’re almost to the point of praying.
Although we know that will never happen.
“These are people, based on social class, who should be Democrats.”
Perhaps, however, there is no true Democrat party left.
Former Democrats are left only to choose between socialism / marxism / communism or full out anti-Americanism.
Unless they are hard core anti-American, there is no longer a fit between former Democrats and today’s Democrat party.
And then there is the full frontal, in your face criminality of said party to consider.
I have this vision that by the end of his two terms, the Democrats will just be literally begging Trump to stop beating them over the head with identity politics. It’s a lose-lose game for them, the identity hucksters force them into these extreme positions like sanctuary cities, anthem kneeling, etc., on them, and it works as long as things stay quiet, but when it becomes a big public brouhaha, they lose millions of white voters while gaining no non-white voters. The only thing that has saved them in the past is the foolishness of your typical Bush-Romney-Ryan politicians who are too afraid to be called “racist” to call them out on it, but Trump is putting an end to that.
Meanwhile, on the racial front, there is understandable bitterness among many African American Democrats that whites, even progressive whites, failed to protect blacks from deepening racism.
Maybe progressive whites should have elected a two term black president.
Oh, wait, they did that. Didn’t that help?
“These are people, based on social class, who should be Democrats.”
There’s your problem. The millions and millions of ordinary Americans who sent Trump to Washington do not care or acknowlege being part of a social class. They’re just Americans. It’s why your identity based polls and experts missed everything in 2016.
In short, the progressive side of the political spectrum is a cauldron of grievances, each understandable and legitimate in its own right.
The conservative side of the political spectrum understandable and legitimate in its own right? Ummm, not so much.
A rather silly pun in the headline. Not sure why he'd do that, actually.
There is the same sort of chasm by race and class as in the Clinton-Trump race, with non-college educated whites favoring Republican Ed Gillespie by forty points... These are people, based on social class, who should be Democrats.
Perhaps something deeper than social class was the determinative factor, hmm? Perhaps there is another class no one on the Democrat side considered, Americans who love their country? Regardless, clearly the obsession over class breakdown failed and some other sort of analysis is called for. Good luck finding it on the Democrat side.
The Dem strategists fell for their own silly branding - the Dems are The Party Of The Little Guy, or so the cant goes, and clearly the Little Guy disagreed. It might be better to ask why that was than to assume it's because the Little Guy was stupid or misinformed. Good luck finding that either.
In short, the progressive side of the political spectrum is a cauldron of grievances, each understandable and legitimate in its own right.
Or not. Perish the notion that such grievances might be overblown, inaccurate, or simply the product of clever agitation. Or that the target of those grievances might resent it and push back. "Wow, we lost the white working class vote that's rightfully ours. How could that happen?" Um...maybe they got tired of incessant accusations of Privilege and systemic racism? And being the target of derision and preferential policies? And that these were their grievances and that they might be legitimate? Could be...
The real problem for the Dems is that this practice of class warfare and grievance politics isn't withering fast enough. They'll double down before they reconsider. Watch it happen.
They have no practical organizing principals, expecting people to align based on colors alone.
That means eventually they’ll want violence.
