You want to get out of reporting on the political game and play the game? Fine. Just don’t call yourself a news organization anymore. Or bristle at being called fake news. Because guess what? You’re faking the news.

Naming names is called “burning a source.” While I hate the unnamed sources stories, as most of the unnamed sources about the Trump Whitehouse stories are probably made up, naming them means you will never be able to use them again. Not only will they probably be fired, they might face legal action. So, not only would a reporter destroy a source, he would force any other potential sources remain silent.
How do we, the news consumers, decide whether a particular story is true? We develop an internal profile of the people in the news. We compare the unsourced stories against that profile and decide whether they are probable or not. This smell test is about all we have to go on.
I share your disgust and distrust of what we, laughingly, call The News. But this is the world we live in. Like the Soviet people, we are fed Pravda and Izvestia. And, like the Soviets, we can develop a feeling for what is real based on what is not said and by going with the opposite of what the media presents.

Donna Brazile was a Clinton loyalist...now turning on her. ON Hannity last evening, two of his guest (cannot remember their names), both democrat operatives...both angrily turned on Clinton last evening in front of millions. Another Clinton loyalist, Leon Panetta has recently commented there needs to be an investigation.
The Clinton's screwed the pooch and bit off more than they can chew.
Unfortunately, not a chance. What we're seeing is an internal power struggle for control of the DNC and when one goes out to 'kill the king' you best be sure that the deed is done. Brazille, and the Sanders/Warren progressive wing, recognizes that the Clinton's have become toxic and have to go.It's interesting that CNN has lined up behind the establishment. I bet MSNBC is either on the sidelines or behind the hard left. Get your popcorn.

As Much as I wish the Clintons will have to pay the piper I seriously doubt that will ever happen. Hillary Could be caught in broad daylight torching a convent and Bill raping the nuns running out and CNN would hail it as a humanitarian act

Brazille deserves criticism as she is as guilty as all the rest. Don’t forget she undermined the debates, she headed the party, even if briefly, and she’s been a lifelong propagandist for the Clintons and Democrats. All she is doing now is getting a bit of CYA cover and early lots of money in the process. At the end of the day, she is still part of the Democratic party problem. A pox on all of them.
I’ll wager medical problems and dementia will shield old Bill & Hill from incarceration, and they’ll reside quietly off-continent.
CNN needs to be taken off the air.
Donna Brazille has always been sleazy lying bottom dwelling scum. Listening to her complain about Hillary is tantamount to one bottom dweller complain that the other bottom dweller
is kicking up too much sand in the pond.
