Mike Lee wants Roy Moore to stop using his image on fundraising ads
Axios ^ | 11/10/2017 | Alexi McCammond

Sen. Mike Lee of Utah has asked Roy Moore's team to stop using his image on their campaign fundraising materials, per The Hill. After four women accused Moore of sexual assault and misconduct (when they were teenagers), his campaign blasted fundraising ads featuring images of some of the Republican senators who endorsed him — Lee, Ted Cruz, and Rand Paul specifically.

Why it matters: Multiple Republican senators and lawmakers have said Moore should step down from the Alabama Senate race if the allegations are true, and now some of them (like Lee) are trying to completely remove themselves from his campaign. It's too late for Moore to be removed from the ballot, but responses like those from Lee show he's quickly losing support from the GOP.

There is a U.S. Senator in New Jersey (Bob Menendez) who is currently on trial for a bunch of corruption charges. The doctor who bribed him with thousands of dollars worth of "gifts" over the years is already in prison. One of the allegations in the court documents is that his financial backer brought him on numerous trips to the Dominican Republic to consort with a bunch of underage "girlfriends."

Not a single Republican in the U.S. Senate has called on this Menendez mutant to step down. Lindsey Graham, in fact, testified on his behalf as a character witness.

This Moore situation is going to destroy the GOP -- and rightly so. The party doesn't deserve any support from normal, decent people.

Shapiro is a doctrinaire conservative that likes to flaunt his IQ, I usually don't have a problem w/ his positions but he has always been anti-trump and still is.

If anyone should be aware and wary of msm BS it would be him. For him to jump on this obvious (because of the timing) put up job shows that he values his TV face time more than winning the battle we're in.

That's why I wouldn't count on him to have our backs.

Mike Lee and Ted Cruz: they are not the first to kick a Republican when he/she is down...but they’re never far behind.

‘Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, called allegations that Judge Roy Moore initiated a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl while in his 30s are “serious and troubling” and that he should withdraw from the race immediately if they are true.’

[Note: Moore already said they’re not true.]

Yes, the party has eroded its base of support down to those who are elitist country club members. It has completely eliminated the remainder of its base. The Republican Party has self-destructed. I left the party after Trump’s election, simply because of the way he was treated by the Republicans in Congress. I knew then that there was no way I could belong to the party of Ryan, McConnell, McCain or Graham. So I left, and I suspect the exodus has now become a flood.

Another Freeper found these posts on the Fox Business Facebook page that was talking about this story:
https://www.facebook.com/FoxBusiness/?ref=br_rs

Post 1: She is a liar. Some of my family was Pastor to her and she is lying 100%. We know her personally... Terrible woman! She lied on several ministers that we know.

Post 2: .... yes, it is very much so a pattern for her! she has went to various churches within our denomination and accused at least three other pastors besides an uncle of ours, making sexual advances at her. Each time that she brought it to the District board for Alabama they found her to be uncredible and she changed her story many times. Additionally, she tried to sue a pastor in one of the sections within our denomination and the Circuit Judge would not hear the case. This was around 2007 this particular incident took place.

Post 3: Our section Presbyter has been notified and has notified the proper authorities! She is 100% uncredible. This is just an attack on a good Christian man, no doubt she was promised some type of monetary benefit for her lies by someone... I know 100% that she is money hungry and I wish I could go into details of the other situations involving the pastor that she accused. I will say this though I can truthfully say that 3 times out of the four times she accused pastors that we know, she attempted to “ Make a Deal” to not go public with the accusation if she would be compensated an x amount of dollars. That is one reason why the Circuit Judge in the Civil Court dismissed her case with prejudice.

It will be pretty easy to search the Alabama Court records to see if that civil suit was filed by the accuser against a pastor around 2007 and it’s disposition. It’s game over for the ComPost when that becomes public.

Not in the Court of Public Opinion. Never has been.

If true, that needs to change. Any society that tolerates conviction by accusation is not free. Anyone can become a victim of a slanderer at any point.

Some of us left the Republican Party years ago.

Heck -- I supported Donald Trump primarily because he's NOT a Republican. He's a nationalist with a loose party affiliation at best.

They have enough guts to betray the Republic.

One of the original “look at me, I’m a real conservative” never Trumpers showing he’s only a “conservative of convenience and resembles McCain/Ryan/McConnell when the chips are down.

I sure hope Judge Moore will remember his enemies when he gets to the Senate next month

He can remember all he wants, but his problem is that the other 99 will hold the power of committee assignments and even allowing him to take his seat. Article I, Section 5 of the Constitution gives each house the judgment of the "Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members". I will not be surprised if they refuse to sit him even if he wins the election.

The Post is not behind this. They're just the tool. McConnell and the GOP establishment are pulling the strings on this one.

Either that or they are using it to their advantage. SOB's. They wanted Strange, and heck with what the people want. They want to pick.

“Isn’t it a five-year term?”

Sessions I believe was reelected in 2014 which would make it a three year term.

“Judge Roy Moore has endured the most outlandish attacks on any candidate in the modern political arena, but this story in today’s Washington Post alleging sexual impropriety takes the cake. National liberal organizations know their chosen candidate Doug Jones is in a death spiral, and this is their last ditch Hail Mary.

“The Washington Post has already endorsed the Judge’s opponent, and for months, they have engaged in a systematic campaign to distort the truth about the Judge’s record and career and derail his campaign. In fact, just two days ago, the Foundation for Moral Law sent a retraction demand to the Post for the false stories they wrote about the Judge’s work and compensation. But apparently, there is no end to what the Post will allege.

“The Judge has been married to Kayla for nearly 33 years, has 4 children, and 5 grandchildren. He has been a candidate in four hotly-contested statewide political contests, twice as a gubernatorial candidate and twice as a candidate for chief justice. He has been a three-time candidate for local office, and he has been a national figure in two ground-breaking, judicial fights over religious liberty and traditional marriage. After over 40 years of public service, if any of these allegations were true, they would have been made public long before now.

“Judge Roy Moore is winning with a double-digit lead. So it is no surprise, with just over four weeks remaining, in a race for the U.S. Senate with national implications, that the Democratic Party and the country’s most liberal newspaper would come up with a fabrication of this kind.

“This garbage is the very definition of fake news and intentional defamation.”

Moore also said the allegations were “completely false and a desperate political attack.”

No room to parse.

“NO! NEVER surrender. The fact this allegation was made AFTER it was too late for Moore’s name to be removed from the ballot should tell anyone everything they need to know about this being a TOTALLY FABRICATED POLITICAL SMEAR BY THE LEFT.”

He who fights and runs lives to fight another day. He who goes down with the ship does not. Maybe these charges will not hurt him. There should be quick examination of the pulse of Alabama over this. Of course this was organized and orchestrated but, that does not mean the charges are not true. Losing this seat reduce our margin to one Senate seat and that is not good Just think how mcCain would use that to his advantage.
