In my mind PC culture has nothing to do with "respect" or "empathy", it's just a bald-faced ploy for control. Control the language, control the thought. It's a classic Marxist tactic dating back to the book "Rules for Radicals" (of course the trick is much older, but that's when Marxists became employing it en masse).

I've always though "Ladies and Gentleman" had archaic origins that implied a level of proper etiquette and behavior. Oftentimes, people addressed as "ladies and gentlemen" were anything but based on their behavior, but at least the term showed an expectation of proper behavior.

Today's Newspeak dictionary wants to remove any remnant of the past's expectation of proper behavior.

Nothing to do with “clearer information,” and they know it. This is to force people to accept the idea that there are NOT two sexes.

Interesting. On one hand they say there are not 2 sexes, on the other hand, they condemn everything that men, males, boys do. Eh? gender binary when it’s convenient, no gender binary when it interferes with their agenda.

Now why would they draw that conclusion? If a trans-woman is really a woman and a trans-man is really a man, there isn't anything insensitive in calling them what they claim to be. Silly, yes, insensitive, no.

I agree, the issue is control, not courtesy. "You will speak the way we tell you to speak" is starting to lose its effect and certain proggies are getting worried about that. The term "racist", for example, has so lost its sting that the language Nazis have upped the ante to "White Supremacist". What happens when that experiences a similar staleness will be amusing to watch.

Let’s ban churches and Christianity because it is offensive! Let’s tax white people more because of white privilege!
