"BP" or British Petroleum, now stands for "Back to Petroleum" as their foray into renewable energy comes acropper.

There is no market threat from renewables.
They are not viable without large government subsidies.

Reuters is excerpt and link, not link only.

Yap, Saudi’s can pump oil out of the ground for less than $3/barrel. No way in hell can the renewables compete with that. Did you know more techs die falling off the wind turbine towers than in oil mining and processing each year? Not to mention how many eagles and other large birds get chopped up by the turbine blades.

This “peak oil” stuff I have been hearing since the Carter Admin. And it may be going on much longer than that.

It seems we have peak truth instead of peak oil.

But everyone is supposed to be driving golf carts, I mean EVs in 6 months!

All concerns about EVs are so overblown - like battery capacity, Cobalt cost and availability, battery life, recharging times, infrastructure to create massive EV charging stations and their business models, infrastructure for home recharging multiple vehicles in driveways, safety of recharging, power plant capacity which are assumed to be run from wind and solar - all solved.

Oil companies are going the route of horse carriage makers!

Oh, the horror! What's next? Buggy-whip manufacturers going out of business?

Here is a easy lesson for the renewable fools. Alternates are not economically viable at the moment. The technology just is not there today.
Solyndra proved it.... and it could not function profitably when oil was at a 100 bucks a barrel.
Now that oil is at less than half that amount the math is stupider yet.
This will continue until the technologies can deliver energy at less than what oil can do.
Best part? If someone creates the idea, its coming from the US of A , the hub of western man. Unlike the ParisAccord, the solutions to global problems will come from the nasty “capitalists” / creators/ innovators/inventors of America not from the recipients of the ParisAccords. All the ParisAccord’s objectives are to find ways to transfer America’s wealth to the muslim turd world.

THAT is the largest OBAMA & UN scam yet!

“All solved.”

You convinced me. I’m calling my broker and instructing him to put my life savings into green stuff, EVs and renewables. It’s a sure thing! Thanks for the tip.

Batteries need a 10x improvement in cost, life, power density before renewables are going to go anywhere.

Why not just link directly to gCaptain?

Because it printed the Reuters article and I thought the post would be scrubbed because of copyright violation.
