Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan on Roy Moore: It's up to Alabama
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/13/17 | Al Weaver

Posted on 11/13/2017 6:02:56 PM PST by markomalley

Reps. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., and Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said Monday they would not withdraw their endorsements for Judge Roy Moore, even as Senate Republicans continued to denounce his campaign and call for him to be expelled from the Senate if he wins next month.

"You can't unring a bell," said Meadows, the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, when asked if is still endorsing Moore. "At this point, it's up to Alabama to figure out — Washington D.C.'s not going to decide that. The people of Alabama will."

"Look, I'm like everyone else," Jordan said when asked about his endorsement. "If this turns out to be true then he should step down, but you've got to let the investigation play out. Ultimately, the decision is going to be in the hands of the people in Alabama."

On Monday, a fifth woman accused Moore of sexual improprieties, and a new report said the two-time chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court may have been banned from the Gadsden Mall in his hometown because he "repeatedly badgered teen-age girls."

Meadows, Jordan and other conservative members of the House endorsed Moore during the primary runoff campaign against Sen. Luther Strange, R-Ala. While some raised the possibility of write-in campaign by the outgoing senator, Strange called that "highly unlikely."

Four of the five Senate members who had previously endorsed Moore's campaign had revoked their support by Monday night. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said that the allegations of sexual misconduct should be looked at by prosecutors. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, the No. 2-ranking Senate Republican also yanked his backing earlier Monday. Those came days after Sens. Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Steve Daines, R-Mont., both pulled their endorsements for Moore.

The lone Senate Republican to support Moore at the moment is Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.

Excellent question.

Gonna need a dump truck to pick up all the RINO manure after Judge Moore wins.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said that the allegations of sexual misconduct should be looked at by prosecutors.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was more evidence against Ted Cruz on Amanda Carpenter’s twitter than we have seen against Roy Moore.
it’s amazing and scary to think with the idiocy in so many ways that they show to us in these recent months alone that so many of these senators and government folks have procreated.
They cannot even handle truth or facts or well reasoned thinking and handling of real important issues, but on these largely made up issues they act liked spoiled brats wanting there own way and going to great extremes to try to get it.
“Why didn’t Turtle spring this info BEFORE he spent 30mil against Moore?”
Because he thought 30 mill would get the job done
Four accused Roy of ‘improper’ acts.
**That didn’t work**
So # 5 is rolled out. Now the word rape is used.
If that doesn’t work, what’s next - Black hookers? A “love child” nobody ever heard of? Dead hookers in the trunk?
Gloria & her minions have zero cred with everybody but the breathless press.
What's next, you might ask?
Locals Were Troubled by Roy Moore’s Interactions with Teen Girls at the Gadsden Mall (within the story, he was apparently banned from the mall...)
It always has been up to Alabama. The rest is just noise from the chattering class and those who are exploiting this situation for their own benefit. Bastards.
It’s up to Alabama on whether he wins the vote, but it could be up to McConnell on whether he actually is allowed to take a seat.
Which led to Mark Levin’s question tonight, what sexual skeletons exist in EXISTING Senator’s closets? Especially since they just passed a resolution requiring sexual harassment training in the Senate? Why would that be necessary out the blue?
Russian didn’t disenfranchise US voters. But libs and Gope
want to tell Alabama voter their vote doesn’t count.
Roy likely will win the Senate seat, gutless GOPe will not stand in his way or us conservative and religious right will make them pay a steep price.
Every last one will have conservatives looking for their skeletons and secrets.
I hope those who have been so quick to blast the freedom caucus will remember this down the road.
It’s very simple as an Alabama voter. I don’t know the truth as does no one else. However I know this...If we elect Roy Moore it will be a republican senator and if we don’t it will go to the democratic side.
If Moore is elected then kicked out if something is proven then the republican governor can appoint a republican senator. Otherwise we’re stuck with a dem for a few more years.
Is it me , or is Hannity back tracking, and trying to get on the establishments side, and accuse Moore. Maybe it has nothing to do with media matters going after his sponsors. mmmm
Yeah sure. It’s called the Marxist toilet paper known as the New Yorker not for nothing. So again, after decades while Moore is in the public eye - it was known that he got kicked out of the Mall for being a creep? Uhuh.
“Gadsden’s current law-enforcement community could not confirm the existence of a mall ban on Moore. But two officers I spoke to this weekend, both of whom asked to remain unnamed, told me that they have long heard stories about Moore and the mall. “The general knowledge at the time when I moved here was that this guy is a lawyer cruising the mall for high-school dates,” one of the officers said. “
Unnamed and hearsay at best - there was the this lawyer guy cruising for dates!” Who wrote this pap? A NY uber-liberal Charles Bethea right? It could be anyone from years ago, if there is any truth to it, if any at all, from the liberal media who lies all the time.
