When Al Franken was on tour with the USO, one of his jokes involved pointing to the cheerleaders on stage and saying he would think of them while having sex with his wife.
"I don't know how you guys do it for nine months," Franken in a 2004 article quoted himself as saying, "I've been over here a week, and the first thing I'm going to do when I get home is have sex with my wife — while thinking about the cheerleaders. Not so different from you guys, except I won't be alone."
There's a long tradition of sexualized humor in USO sets, and I'm not a prude, but that one strikes me as a little extra gross: saying in front of much younger women that you will be thinking of them while having sex

A Republican, or other normal person, would have been already forced to resign. This bastard gets away with it because he is a liberal. I want him to go through what Moore is going through.

Creepy is just too inadequate a word to describe Al Gropen, er, Franken. To call him a “creep’ is to give all real creeps a bad name.

If the Republican Party had testicular fortitude, it would hire private investigators to research Franken. Very much doubt this is the only incident, and there probably are women who want to tell their story. Time to fight back. If they go after one of yours either you take out two of theirs or roll up your tent.
Just watched this woman on CNN talk about Franken and say she hopes if there are others they come forward.
Franken is a Class A Creep and I am sure there are many and I pray they come forward and bury his hypocritical pos ass
Stuart Smalley has always been creepy and weird. Not really the type normal voters would elect to the Senate. It’s funny how the “news bobbleheads” keep saying all of Smalley’s groping incidents occurred BEFORE he was elected to the Senate. Well, the groping incidents Moore has been accused of committing by Allred’s stable of professional victim nags all occurred long before he became a Republican.
Sex jokes are the refuge of a poor comedian or comedienne. If you are not getting laughs for your jokes, tell a sexual one. Everyone will be so afraid of being labeled a prude they will laugh whether it is funny or not.
The Republicans know that when you’re pointing at someone, four fingers are pointing back at you. They don’t want be investigated.
Back in the early and mid-90s while at a previous job I actually got to know the Franken family pretty well. His wife was the coolest, nicest, person you'd ever want to know. She would bring us homemade brownies and other such goodies several times a week. Never once did she mention politics. Kids were wonderful too. He, on the other hand, was basically ok as a person, but basically a doofus. He once got kicked out of a taxi cab for repeatably farting in it. Couldn't help but wonder why someone as sweet as she would want to be with a schmuck like him.
Everyone in the Senate (in both parties) is terrified where this may lead.
They will do anything they can to put the toothpaste back in the tube.
This is the first time I’ve found Al Franken entertaining.
