The director of the Homeland Security Departments office of faith-based partnerships has resigned following a CNN report on racially inflammatory remarks he made before joining the federal government.
Rev. Jamie Johnson was appointed in April to lead DHS Center for Faith-Based & Neighborhood Partnerships, which works with churches and community organizations on disaster response. [ ]
In one clip posted by CNN, Johnson said, Americas black community
has turned Americas major cities into slums because of laziness, drug use and sexual promiscuity.

Oh no, you can't say that out loud. Not if you're white.
Or maybe it was The Great Society of LBJ that did the deed. At any rate, the truth is not always found in the government.
He should try visiting WA state which is like 95% white, but there is no shortage of people doped up on legal marijuana, illegal meth & heroin.
God, look at that fat bucket of filth.
Memo to Fatty: You already have a plum, b.s post so shut the frack up and enjoy wasting tax payers dollars in silence.
Even though a generalization, since when does the truth make one a “ moron”.
You been in an inner city lately?
Exactly. Big, Bigger and Biggest government with generous welfare destroyed many families and lives of all races. Government is the root cause driven by buying votes with freebies regardless of the societal price.
I’m sorry that you think this creep was speaking the truth.
Notice how AP parses his quote, too.
I love Washington state!
All those little white boys acting so tough and ‘gangsta’ —would love to send them to Oakland for a two-week vacation.
Good thing he's gone....
After all, Americas black community has turned Americas major cities into urban utopias because of a strong work ethic, almost zero black unemployment rate, total absence of drug use, zero children born out of wedlock, and strong solid marriages with a father in every household.
They are true examples of the "nuclear family" of the 50's!
Evergreen State....
I find it curious that most Freepers complain about the PC problem, yet they are against a man who threw PC out the window.
I work in the ghetto everyday. What he said is the absolutely truth. Youll never solve the problem until you confront it. Of course the rats and race hustlers stay in business by ensuring the problems arent solved.
“In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”
Truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth.
Zackly.
All the pearl clutchers are welcome to spend an evening walking the streets of their nearest large city.
Charles Manson is in the hospital, dying. He’ll be back in the news when he croaks.
Reading up on him, it’s interesting how closely his views are race are reflected by some of the comments made by FReepers.
Americas black community has turned Americas major cities into slums because of laziness, drug use and sexual promiscuity.”
While some statistics may back up such a statement on mere statistical correlation alone, it is racially charged to blame the whole of it on the entire “black community” because as large as the problem is, it is a set of things - crime, drugs, laziness, sexual promiscuity - that factually is NOT MOST of the members of that community, and most are also the victims of those problems.
The Liberal solutions promised to fix the problems but made them worse, by working to convince folks they would be fixed and working to convince people to stay (so they’d get their votes??); which worked to concentrate the problems more, as those that could, not accepting the promises, left when they could.
The better solutions might have been to promote internal migration to any of the job-growth areas, instead accepting the Liberals “we’ll fix this” solutions. It’s interesting how such a large portion of New Orleans left during and after Katrina and seems to have managed to find permanent homes elsewhere. They might have found them earlier if they have simply taken the plunge and left long before Katrina.
