The director of the Homeland Security Departments office of faith-based partnerships has resigned following a CNN report on racially inflammatory remarks he made before joining the federal government.
Rev. Jamie Johnson was appointed in April to lead DHS Center for Faith-Based & Neighborhood Partnerships, which works with churches and community organizations on disaster response. [ ]
In one clip posted by CNN, Johnson said, Americas black community
has turned Americas major cities into slums because of laziness, drug use and sexual promiscuity.

At least he tells the TRUTH! How rare is that in a public servant these days?
His entire quote...
“I think one of the reasons why is because Jewish people from their coming to America in great waves in the early part of the 1800’s immediately rolled up their sleeves and began to work so hard and applied themselves to education and other means of improvement and other means of climbing the, I hate this phrase, but the social ladder if you will,” Johnson said. “And they have done exceptionally well for themselves. For only representing about 1.4% of America’s population, they make up 12% of America’s millionaires. Why? Because they work.
“And it’s an indictment of America’s black community that has turned America’s major cities into slums because of laziness, drug use and sexual promiscuity.”
Adds context to the quote. Not the best way to make the point.

Lived there for 5 years and 10 years near Portland Oregon. The news was full of drug addicts who were mostly white.
It is so sad to see so many young people wasting their potential.
Moronic statements by someone who should know better than to paint an entire group with such broad strokes. The quesiton should be asked; what governmental policies have contributed to the fact that a large number of blacks tend to be lazy, promiscuous, addicted to drugs, etc...?
yes...but the news doesn’t show the minority drug addicts, criminals, and anything that would portray a negative light upon them. When a crime is commited, they only show a picture of a white person, if thats who the suspect is. Same for the Muslims when they do their terrorist thing.
I’m sorry that you think he wasn’t speaking the truth.
Speaking of which, did you see this one?
A Moonbat Goes Shopping at a Gun Store

The gun shop is a neighbor of Evergreen State.
When was that clip? Maybe it was true at the time? Clearly it’s not true now, hence the resignation. /sarcasm
There is no argument that illegal substance abuse is a BIG problem in African-American communities in the largest dozen cities in United States.
My main point is meth abuse is ALSO a big problem in white communities in Northwest, Northeast and other area. That is even more sad because a white person has so many opportunities to make something of their lives.
Now that WA & CO have made marijuana legal, the degradation in academic scores, increase in traffic deaths, increase in emergency room visits, etc have all increased in those states. And it is NOT all in A-A communities.
the truth hurts.
What’s that saying about telling the truth when times are weird and sounding crazy. I can’t quite remember who said it and how it went exactly. Maybe someone here will.
Thank you. I should have read down through this thread before asking my question in my previous post.
Why good riddance to someone who speaks the truth?
I’ve lived in Philadelphia, Baltimore and worked in DC. There is a lot of truth in what the man said.
The MOST UNFORTUNATE part of what he said is that the decent, hardworking black Americans are being imprisoned in their homes, robbed and killed, and forced off the streets because of drugs, crime, broken families, a lack of desire for an education, and a lack of self-pride.
And if you don’t believe me, go to Cleveland, Detroit, parts of Houston, New Orleans (A native of NO just came back and is afraid to go to many parts of that city), Chicago (bring a bulletproof vest with you), parts of LA, Oakland, etc.
The problems with whites in Seattle (been there) is their Marxist political leadership and stupid drug tolerance policies which is killing their young people, native and drug-seeking imports. And their politicians think that their policies are just find.
Stupidity, incompetence, a tolerance of ignorance, laziness, drugs, and poor quality education is color-blind, but it hits the poorest sectors more than the rich white liberals who live in sequestered apartments/condos, gated communities, or well distanced suburbs.
Yep - pretty moronic to state the Truth these days....it just ain’t done and must be punished.
Well, Ben, As I stated- a generalization. Peel the onion back if you dare. Look at the UCR- even in its current carefully choreographed demographic format, you’ll find that the facts are painfully obvious. Of course, unless you subscribe to the view that the “man” runs the stats to his benefit.
There are many scholarly studies done on the actual subject- and they are not popular in politics.
Before you call me a racist etc- fair disclosure- I am married to a Native American, I am of Hebrew descent, and have mixed race grand children etc. But my head is not in the sand while the uni-party blows hot air up my six.
Not just the large ones...
While all ethnicities have examples of irresponsibility and bad social outcomes, no group in the USA suffers as badly as the Blacks.
By far, the strongest correlation to this disproportion is the average IQ of each group.
legalizing marijuana was a big mistake. Its the gateway drug for whites to use crank (meth). Pot makes a person unproductive, lazy and paranoid. Meth gives them energy for production at first. I see first hand in Family I have back in Ca. They smoke weed everyday and do nothing. If they were to get a job, I wouldn’t be surprised if they started snorting crank (meth) to be productive.
