Gloria Allred: ‘I Haven’t Asked’ Beverly Young Nelson If She Saw Roy Moore Sign Her Yearbook

Thursday on MSNBC’s “MTP Daily,” celebrity attorney Gloria Allred, who is representing Roy Moore accuser Beverly Young Nelson, said she had not asked her client if she saw Moore sign her yearbook.

Questions had been raised by the Moore campaign a day earlier at a press conference in Birmingham, AL about the authenticity of the signature, which Allred had held up as evidence to bolster Young’s claim against Moore.

Partial transcript as follows:

TUR: Does your client, Beverly Young Nelson, remember him signing it?

ALLRED: She remembers — well, she remembers being with him. It was on the counter. She alleges that he took it, that he signed it and she was thrilled that he had signed it, because, as far as she knew, he was a D.A. and that was an important position.

TUR: So she saw him sign it?

ALLRED: I don’t believe at the time she had a clue whether he was an assistant D.A. or a D.A., but he signed it, she took it. As far as she knows, I mean, there’s no reason for her to think it’s anybody’s but his signature.

TUR: But did she see him sign it?

ALLRED: You know, I don’t — I haven’t asked her if she saw him, but we did describe what happened that evening in question. What she alleges was that she put it on the counter; that I think she asked to sign — or that he did sign it. That’s all.

So she just left the book on a food counter...yuk...wet, sticky, dirty....sure....

This falls back on Gloria....she's probably seen that particular signature method 100,000 times (stamp with stamper's initials) and she never questioned the D.A. after his signature. She missed it. That's what happens when you play "LOne Ranger".

And dear Gloria....That's an old age error.

Your client must be p***** out of her head......cuz she lied under your direction.

So now he's at the counter...thought he sat at the same table every day. Now it was the evening on the 22nd...

I hope Allred loses her license.

We don't know if she was even working that day. Looking into old calendars....the 22nd might have been the first day of Christmas Vacation.

I don't remember the days I worked 30 years ago.

The Birmingham News has been on a rampage against Judge Roy Moore for many years, especially since their alleged lesbian editor took over as the main editor for the 3 largest newspapers in the state of Alabama and Judge Moore came out against sodomite marriage.

I've met her and she is VERY butch.

Kyle Whitmire is an effete "columnist" there (though he's married) and he's written with more vitriol against Judge Moore than anyone, with the possible exception of John "I forgot I declared bankruptcy and I've got a gay brother" Archibald.

They hate Judge Moore and they have made it clear that they do.

Their jobs are also dependent on pleasing their editor. Those 3 papers are owned by Advance and they have laid off over 40% of their employees in the past few years and now only print 3 days a week.

So you have lesbains and leftists calling the shots and maybe a couple of people who are afraid to speak out in fear of losing their jobs.

But this is a hate campaign of the highest order.

So someone put it on the counter (not even a statement that she put it on the counter) and someone, maybe the tooth fairy, signed it. This is lawyerease to try and avoid getting sued. May be Ivanka Trump should read this.

It wouldn’t be inaccurate to assume that I couldn’t exactly not say that it is or isn’t almost partially incorrect. On the contrary. I’m possibly more or less not definitely rejecting the idea that in no way with any amount of uncertainty that I undeniably do or do not know where he shouldn’t probably be, if that indeed wasn’t where he isn’t. That’d mean I’d really have to know where he wasn’t.

So, according to Allred, the yearbook was just lying there on the restaurant counter (in December), Moore took it and signed it without Nelson seeing him, signed it with a title he didn’t hold, she was thrilled that he signed it, and now 45 years later this is supposed to prove Moore is not fit to serve in the Senate?

Give me a break.

I see it as being lawyer weasel words --- trying to make an inference that can't be made in such a way that she can be held responsible in the future for whether or not the statement was truthful.

Yep, I think this is what most reasonable people see. That is, those who have not had their sense of reason and common sense seared by the tyrannical emotionalism of the left.
