A federal jury on Tuesday convicted Libyan terrorist Ahmed Abu Khattala on terrorism charges related to the 2012 attacks on U.S. government facilities in Benghazi, but acquitted him of murder, the most serious charge he faced, reported The Hill.

Why isn’t he in Gitmo? Why a trial in DC, one of the few places (with San Francisco and Seattle) where the residents side with the terrorists? Is this another Sessions failure?
I have a question.
Why do we drag these people back to the US and put them on trial as if they were US citizens ?
Ask Obama.
It’s actually worse than that. US Law on the crime of Murder and those actions for which killing someone is considered murder under the law. Unfortunately, US law doesn’t specifically list Terrorism in connection with Murder, hence the murder charges had to be withdrawn. Some former DOJ lawyer was on with Lou Dobbs tonight explaining the screwup.
Non productive. He would just lie.
I agree about the stupidity of putting terrorists on trial as though they were common criminals. Even if you do that, though, why on earth would you hold the trial in DC? Even NY is anti-terrorist, after 9-11. Could get a conviction anywhere else, except maybe San Francisco and Seattle.
