Paul Ryan is considering retiring after 2018 mid-term elections

House Speaker Paul Ryan plans to retire after the 2018 midterm elections, Politico reported on Thursday.

From Politico: Ryan was tiring of D.C. even before reluctantly accepting the speakership. He told his predecessor, John Boehner, that it would be his last job in politics—and that it wasn't a long-term proposition. In the months following Trump's victory, he began contemplating the scenarios of his departure. More recently, over closely held conversations with his kitchen cabinet, Ryan's preference has become clear: He would like to serve through Election Day 2018 and retire ahead of the next Congress. This would give Ryan a final legislative year to chase his second white whale, entitlement reform, while using his unrivaled fundraising prowess to help protect the House majority—all with the benefit of averting an ugly internecine power struggle during election season. Ryan has never loved the job; he oozes aggravation when discussing intra-party debates over "micro-tactics," and friends say he feels like he's running a daycare center. On a personal level, going home at the end of next year would allow Ryan, who turns 48 next month, to keep promises to family; his three children are in or entering their teenage years, and Ryan, whose father died at 55, wants desperately to live at home with them full-time before they begin flying the nest. The best part of this scenario, people close to the speaker emphasize: He wouldn't have to share the ballot with Trump again in 2020.

This is actually bad news potentially. Now he’ll feel completely freed up to even more relentlessly pursue amnesty and cuts to Social Security and Medicare.

Ah, the scum wants to return to the bottom of his local pond.
Darn, we’ll be soooooo disappointed that the buttwipe hits the eject handle (that is, IF he does, ‘cause remember, he is a lying RINO).

This is basically a “I want to spend more time with my family” story.

My question: “What crime did he commit?”

Jordan has turned down the prospect of being Speaker for at least three times. I don’t think he wants to deal with the theater, the dog and pony shows of being a Speaker in today’s America, where style usually trumps substance.

Sure he is. First he’s going to torpedo any Republican hopes of holding the House, then he’s going to retire. That’s what Romney “Republicans” do.

There will be a leadership shake up and Monsieur Ryan knows very well he will be the first rattle heard in the can when it happens.

Good riddance. The Conservative Caucus is starting to exert itself and they have made a difference, ever since that first yahoo of the Three Young Guns, Eric Cantor, was tossed to the curb.

Now goes the boyscout Ryan and that leaves only Kevin McCarthy, who was rejected from the Speakers role after opening his big stupid mouth and bragging on Gowdy’s committee taking out Hillary. Trey was pizzed. It hurt their committee outcome and made them look like a lynch team.

He of course deny’s it. So either this is a fake news attempt to stop the tax bill or he released it by back channels to cause cold feet by others in order to stop the tax bill.
