The chief judge of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said Thursday that he has opened a misconduct inquiry into a judge accused of inappropriate sexual conduct and comments by six women.
Ninth Circuit Chief Judge Sidney R. Thomas issued the order based on allegations against Judge Alex Kozinski in a Dec. 8 Washington Post article.
The women were clerks and others at the largest federal appeals court in the country.
Kozinski is a prominent judge, serving as chief judge of the 9th Circuit from 2007 to 2014. He is known for his irreverent opinions and his clerks often win prestigious clerkships at the Supreme Court. …

Ok the only specific example is he once asked a clerk to look at pics of naked people....and they don’t give context. So what are we supposed to think? Maybe it was relevant to a case, or maybe it was for less appropriate reasons. How inappropriate? We are left guessing. Maybe we are supposed to assume it must have been pretty inappropriate in order for a story to be written and published...but I find that is not always a good guide given how the media behaves sometimes.

Kozinski’s porn habits were well known for decades. When he was put before a judicial review committee from another Circuit and was given a pass, then CJ William Rhenquist was said to be outraged that Kozinski received no punishment; and that Rhenquist likely preferred that Kozenski be removed from the bench.

Kozinski has a bad reputation on the bench so he is often not taken seriously by the real hardcore leftists.
However, if you think he’s good enough for us now, I’ll defer to your comments.
