Scammin' - gotta' get my chips cashed in.
I'm just scammin' - like the do-dah man.
Tryin' to keep' Bill more or less in line,
And we just keep scammin' on.

Pushin' books and missile plans out on Main Street.
Chicago, New York, Detroit they look like the same street.
Moscow, Beijing, Tehran it's like a daydream,
Then I hang it up and see what tomorrow brings.

Scammin', like the do-dah man.
Bill told me "You've got to play your hand!"
But sometimes your cards ain't worth a damn,
Yet you just keep scammin' on.

Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me,
But when I'm drunk I can hardly see,
And lately it has occured to me,
What a long, strange trip it's been.

But we just keep scammin' on.....

I think the last two I saw posted here were “Dogcatcher’s Daily” and “Worker’s Daily”.
