Despite setback, TransCanada says it is still committed
Nebraska regulators on Tuesday shot down a request from TransCanada to reconsider the proposed path of the Keystone XL oil pipeline, the latest in a series of setbacks for the $8 billion project and one that leaves its future very much in doubt.
Nebraskas Public Service Commission (PSC) last month green-lighted a route through its state, but the approved path wasnt the one TransCanada prefers. The Canadian company, which has been trying to complete the Canada-to-Texas project for the past decade, said it would ask Nebraska officials to rethink their decision and amend the approval to include the original route.
On Tuesday, they got their answer, with the five-member PSC unanimously rejecting motions to reconsider. The decision effectively ends the process in the state and leaves TransCanada with a decision of whether to scrap the project or move forward with the less-than-favorable path.

Exactly. In the current world of climate hysteria, they were offered a pretty good deal. And the route through Nebraska is only a fraction of the cost of the project as a whole.
I guess Nebraska state government has been captured by moonbat Leftists too.

Seems like a lot of shaky or fake news lately from it!
No.
The route offerred to TransCanada is just fine. It is not perfect....but the people of Nebraska are generally ok with it.
If TransCanada wants to go home because they didn’t get every little thing they wanted, that is there problem and they can accept the blame.
It’s called “MAKING A DEAL.”
This story is Fake News. Notice the snoeflake screaming in agonizing pain in the protest picture.
