I thought Muslims admired Hitler. I'm confused.
Abbas is looking at reality, and the prospects for his continual leadership of the Palestinian Authority is doubtful. In 1948 Transjordan invaded and occupied the area called the West Bank and Jerusalem. Transjordan annexed these areas, changed its name to Jordan, and gave Jordanian citizenship to the population living at that time in the occupied areas.
The occupied and annexed areas had been set aside as part of the Palestinian Mandate in which a Jewish homeland would be established. Transjordan (a Muslim Arab nation) had been created in the 1920’s from three fourths of the Mandate, leaving the remaining one fourth for a Jewish homeland. In fact Jewish settlers had been force back west of the Jordan River in the 1920’s and told Jews could only settle west of the Jordan. In 1948 Jordan along with the other Arab League armies took it upon themselves to prevent the areas that had been part of historical Israel, from becoming part of historical Israel.
In 1967 after Jordan, along with the rest of the Arab League attacked Israel, Israel gained control of the area called the West Bank and Jerusalem, Israel’s historic capital. In the period between 1967 and 1993, when the PA was established, the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) attacked and tried to take over Jordan. The PLO was pushed into Lebanon, where it allied itself with Syria in an effort to take over Lebanon.
Lebanon had been established following WWI as safe haven for Maronite Christians, just as Israel was to be created as a home for Jews. The PLO destabilized the Lebanese government, by allying themselves with Syrian in an attempt to take over Lebanon. At the Lebanese Christians request Israel invade and the PLO was eventually exiled. Syria has never given up its claim to Lebanon. In 1993 the Palestinian Authority (PA) was set up with donations and assistance from Western Nations. The terrorist Arafat became its head. All this was in an effort to promote peace.
The world recognized the PA as the representative of the displaced Arabs in what is called the West Bank Area and elsewhere. Unlike the 800,000 Jews who had been exiled from Arab countries and absorbed by Israel and other Western nations, these Arabs lived in refugee camps within Arab countries. Those Arab countries refused to let them immigrate.
Arafat and then Abbas have played a long game of Kabuki Theater, pretending to negotiate, recognize Israel, and seek peace. Yet at the same time they have continually incited violence and hatred against the Jewish people.
The PA has been very successful in convincing the world that they are not part of a massive Muslim Arab effort to negate the resulting outcomes of the fall of the Ottoman Empire after WWI, and the creation of countries within the lost territories. They never want the world to come to the realization that the vast majority of Muslim Arab nations didn’t exist prior to WWI, and that they have already destroyed the one Christian nation (Lebanon) created within that area, and are attempting to destroy the Jewish nation meant to occupy historical Israel. < p>
The two opposing Muslim forces, both Sunni and Shiite, are caught up in a struggle, as to which of the opposing forces will rule a resulting Caliphate. To both forces, Israel, like a Christian Lebanon, is illegitimate. The PA and the UN have been very successful in presenting an imaginary “Palestinian People” as a persecuted minority, just striving to gain sovereignty over land in which a Palestinian nation never existed., which they refuse to recognize as historical Israel. Their Goebbels-like propaganda insists that Jews have never lived in Israel, nor is Jerusalem the historical capital of Israel.
Hamas, now allied with Iran, is looking to take over the PA. So Abbas, like Arafat before him, can never agree to recognize Israel as a Jewish nation, or really recognize Israel's right to exist, a major condition for peace.
The UN continually called for the withdrawal of Israel from Gaza. Israel did so. Once done Hamas took control from the PA and established Gaza as an attack base for terrorism. Periodically Hamas launches attacks against Israel. Each time the UN calls for a cease fire, condemns Israel, but fails to ever condemn Hamas for its aggression. No one is under the delusion that if the West Bank area is turned over to the PA that it will be a quiet peace loving country, and not another base like Gaza for attacks against Israel
Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar stated yesterday, December 25th, 2017, that the commander of Iran's Quds force will provide Hamas with all the means at the IRGC’s disposal in the struggle for Jerusalem.
Again, Abbas is trying to maintain control of the PA, but with Iran (Biblical Persia) throwing its weight to Hamas, Abbas has major problems. Once Hamas takes control of the PA, the pretense of negotiating peace is destroyed, and the legitimacy of the PA as a negotiating partner dissolves.
The whole basis of the establishment of the PA (the Oslo Accords) also dissolves. The world's Kabuki dance will end. Their masks dropped this last week when they voted to condemn the US for recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
The fact that Russia is up to its eyeballs in the Middle East, and helping Iran establish Hezbollah bases on Israel's Syrian border, to match those already established on the Lebanese border, causes one to come to the realization that Biblical Prophecy is coming true right before our eyes.
Virtually the whole world has aligned itself against Judah (the Jews), and against Jerusalem. I always wondered why Judah and Jerusalem are mentioned separately in Biblical prophecy, but only at this time are they considered as separate issues in the world's view.
I'm looking for Ephraim, because the Bible says that Judah will fill its bow with Ephraim and destroy the enemies of Israel. Could Ephraim be the peoples that inhabit the Western World, specifically Great Britain and the US? Some historians say so, but I don't know.
