The thing that struck me when listening to the audio on the various cell phone videos of the attack was that the involved “African appearance males” seemed to be speaking some sort of French Ebonics. It was too weird!
When vacationing through France, it was made clear that the small town and rural Frenchies despise the big city Frogs. You know, just like here. So it seems that what needs to be done, is to wall off the big cities and let them handle their affairs internally. (I know...)
Bingo! You pretty much nailed the real difference here.
It is a clash between cultures - not skin color. Christianity and a strong Christian influence usually makes all the difference in the world in these things.
In the case of France and Europe, it is Muslim versus the Infidel (Western Europe has pretty much forsaken Christ, except in the nominal cultural sense). There is genuine invasion and jihad happening here.
In the U.S. the clash has devolved to an ungodly feral welfare and criminal class of blacks (tainting decent blacks) versus everybody else including black Christians. That state of unhappy affairs has a lot to do with drugs, the disintegration of the black family, and the depredations of the Progressives who prey on black Americans to bend them to their political will - most recently dating back to the Great Society, but before from slavery. Then, official black segregation of 2nd class status was instituted and enforced by the southern Democrat Party dating from the 1800s.
One also cannot ignore the unparalleled social destruction caused by illegal immigration and the importation of 10s of millions of semi-illiterate people with allegiances to other counties and non-American cultures. This is also a result of the scheming for power by the Democrat Party and other Progressives, with the approval of greedy, unethical employers and weak GOP politicians.

In general, I believe in two-in-the-chest, one-in-the-head for thugs who would kick an innocent person while he or she is down. In this case, there are too many thugs for that thorough response. My vote? Head shots, one each. Keep shooting until all the thugs are down or have run away. I prefer that it be done with a silencer so that it takes them a little longer to figure out what is happening.
Then deport every single refugee in Europe and the United States. No exceptions. Deport every single illegal in the West. No exceptions. Restore the rule of law, and protect freedom. End globalism.

Agreed. I was not shocked that the French chose the usual path. They had a chance, but blew it. If they had any shame, they should be regretting that today.

They have at least one base in southern France, and recruiting stations in various cities. Almost the entire FFL was ‘banished’ from Metropolitan France after the Algeria unpleasantness. A much younger me thought very seriously about enlisting. I spoke French, and had just finished military service in my own country...the Legion seemed like a romantic adventure. In the end, I went to grad school where there was no glamor, romance or adventure!

Yeah, send in a Legionnaire, he shoots or beats up some "refugees/migrants", the EU Court gets involved and demands his imprisonment. The Legion then declines any further involvement.
The French police could have handled it, IF they had the right to shoot-to-kill anybody violently assaulting them, to include any rioters who get started in response to the first shooting. Things would settle down real fast.
