MAGA and all the successes we’ve had this past year is because of Trump, not Bannon - Period. That’s all there is to say. If Trump hadn’t run in 2016, we would be exactly where we were before Trump decided to throw his hat in the ring. Bannon would have gotten us nowhere. He’s an opportunist who supported Cruz, until he realized that Trump would win the nomination.

Bannon, Cruz, Gowdy, Ryan. They’re all alike. All, at one time, had conservatives convinced that they were the real deal until it became clear that they were just Uniparty controlled opposition all along.

My advice people? Get over Bannon. Trump is a unique figure in history who was genuinely able to, single handedly, alter many of the entrenched social and political paradigms that people, myself included, took for granted. Someone like Trump doesn’t come around often - maybe once every couple hundred years or so. If Bannon thinks he’s responsible this movement rather than Trump, he’s a fool as well as an opportunist.

I honestly don’t get it. Calling the President stupid and his son a traitor is okay, but criticizing a person for saying that is violating Reagan’s 11th commandment?

There are still people, even now, claiming the President never released a statement blasting Bannon for his remarks and it was fabricated by the news media, even though there was an official White House press briefing more than 7 hours ago where the same statement was discussed at length. It boggles the mind.

Personally, I like to hear what Newt Gingrich has to say.

He’s smart, he’s thoughtful, and no, I don’t consider him the egomaniac that Steve Bannon has obviously been revealed to be.

I haven’t found anyone, and I mean anyone, that I have agreed with 100% of the time.

Newt Gingrich, I agree with 95% of the time.

And he’s right about Steve Bannon.

Newt Gingrich hasn’t been in government for 18 years now, yet there he was today trying to outBannon Bannon.

I know that not everyone is going to see Newt for who he is.

Take care.

Newt was an amazing Speaker... what’s Bannon’s claim to fame?

Well I hate to break it to you, but he’s part of the reason we have Trump as our president.

How exactly did Newt help with that?

I’m with you - Bannon’s gone over the edge. Bannon might be able to save himself by backing off... and thinking this through... If he fails at that he’ll be stuck as the resident Trump hater on MSNBC until he can’t look himself in the mirror.

Gingrich criticizing Bannon for his outrageous attacks on President Trump and his family are what you find to be out of line, but not the comments and actions by Bannon?

I assume that because you are writing this, that you finally have put your eyes on some actual proof other than a lying Liberal Kook named Michael Wolffe who wrote a book.

So do you have a link?

What Bannon did was an atrocity.

What is it that Bannon did, and where is the proof that shows he did it?

Please Newt, tell us about exaggerated sense of self-importance. You should be an expert on the subject.

First thing I thought. No one loves every word he himself says or writes more than Newt.

Newt paid his respects to Cardinal Law. Explain that, Newt. No taking a stand against raping little boys? I’d prefer him in 69 position with Nancy Pelosi on that couch. At least they are consenting adults. Little boys. Hundreds. Raped with the enabling of the good holy cardinal, then he is protected by the Vatican. And Newt felt he had to go to his funeral. Choices.

Breitbart needs to get rid of him if they want conservatives, Trump supporters, to ever click on their site again.

No one could trust Bannon. I liked him until today, but I realize now I was fooling myself on some things, which now make sense. Fall from grace in my mind.

No that’s what Bannon would have you believe

Trump got Trump elected. His doggedness and willingness to do two and three states in the last two weeks. Bannon didn’t do that...Trump did

Keep in mind a large percentage of the posters probably shouldn’t post.....ever.

I hate to agree with ole’ Newt (who is 100% a jerk with an ego powerful enough for moons to revolve around) but he’s 100% right.

First off note, this is not “fake news” the President issued a statement on Bannon

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-01-03/trump-says-bannon-lost-his-mind-after-leaving-white-house

I had never heard of this guy before Trump hired him and suddenly he’s almost a messianic figure to some. I never cared for him, from my first impression. His actual tangible positive effect on the Trump campaign and early administration prior to his FIRING (yes he was fired, canned, terminated) appear to be minimal. His recent political activities appear to be counterproductive to actually electing conservatives. I agree with the President.

His comments about Don Jr. reveal him to be a real two-faced snake.
