Walking into a grocery store I noticed a checkbook sitting on the dashboard of a car and the owner had left the front windows down. I came back out of the grocery store 30 minutes later and the checkbook was still sitting there.
I asked a guy I ran into about it later. We had struck up a long conversation and I asked him if that was unusual. He said no it wasn't. I asked him how much crime there is in the area and he said, "When school lets out sometimes the kids will do stuff, but for the most part it is pretty safe."
