Several central figures in Hollywood's fight against sexual harassment weren't involved in Sunday's Golden Globes protest — for varying reasons.

Italian actress Asia Argento, who was one of Harvey Weinstein's earliest accusers, says she wasn't invited to partake in the anti-harassment demonstration --SNIP-- McGowan then responded by taking a shot at the all-black dress code at the Golden Globes.

"And not one of those fancy people wearing black to honor our rapes would have lifted a finger had it not been so. I have no time for Hollywood fakery,

I think the idea is to de-emphasize the Weinstein transgressions and concentrate on generic sexism and victimology. That way it takes the heat off the Hollywood left and lets all the beautiful people feel proud of themselves.

Yep, they could care less about the victims, it's all about them seeking new power in this 2018 year of feminism 2.0.

Seems to me this reveals a dilemma men/society are in these days.

A woman tells them they’ve been abused. The man wants to do something about it then and there. She says, no I don’t want you to do that. He says, then you do it. She says, no I can’t do that.

Then the woman spends the rest of her life telling anyone who will listen how unfair life is to women.

Ladies, if a guy does something bad to you, tell everyone. Confront them in public with exactly what they did. Let everyone in the community itself (and broader community as well by doing it publicly) what a low-life jackass he is.

This saves other women from being abused, and serves to make their lives better.

I remember when awards shows were about performances and not politics.

I have some sympathy for McGowan, as she’s part of an industry that’s filled with snakes. But, geez, of course it’s fakery. The profession of acting is all fakery.

Wait a minute --- She did not attend the protest because she was not invited?

In my day, people protested when they felt the need to protest, they didn't create guest lists and send out invitations.

Now even sports is becoming about politics. When the Left isn't happy...everything becomes about politics.

She wants rapes to be honored? What strange wording.

So true. However, hollywood types like their exclusive parties. B level (and less) actors are seen as taking away from status, not adding. And when the masses are invited to join, such as the upcoming Impeach Trump march on the 20th, all they want are bodies.

But don't dare show up at my party or my home. You aren't worthy, no matter the cause. H'wood types are some of the biggest hypocrites out there.

That’s part of the prep for Harvey’s redemption.

To put it another way, the mean girls don't like anyone else sitting at their lunch table.
