Saudi Prince Alwaleed in settlement talks with government, sources say

Saudi Arabia's billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, detained for over two months in an anti-corruption crackdown, is negotiating a possible settlement with authorities but so far has not agreed on terms, a senior Saudi official said.

Prince Alwaleed, whose net worth has been estimated by Forbes magazine at $17 billion, is chairman and owner of international investment firm Kingdom Holding, and one of the country's most prominent businessmen.

"He offered a certain figure but it doesn't meet the figure required from him, and until today the attorney-general hasn't approved it," the official said on condition of anonymity under government briefing rules.

A second source familiar with Prince Alwaleed's case told Reuters on Saturday that he had offered to make a "donation" to the Saudi government, which would avoid any admission of wrongdoing, and to do so from assets of his own choosing. But the government refused those terms, the source said.

Since early November Prince Alwaleed has been held, with dozens of other members of Saudi Arabia's political and business elite detained in the crackdown, in Riyadh's opulent Ritz Carlton hotel as authorities seek to reach settlements with the detainees.

Contrary to this article, CNBC reported earlier today that Alwaleed has been transfer from the Ritz Carlton to a real prison.

He is a despicable character. Perhaps he will stay in prison.

The classified 10 or so pages of the 9-11 report:

Alaweed was INVOLVED.

Yeah, this “sophisticate” had pretty deep links to the destruction of the WTC.

And of course Kingdom Holdings owns 47.5% of the Four Seasons, which owns the top floors of the Mandalay Bay...

Absolutely.

Alwaleed was the Saudi government official responsible for 9/11.

And responsible for the spread of Wahhabism through Georgetown and Harvard and other former great universities thereafter.

He should be delivered to the families of the 9/11 victim so they can devise his torture.

“... negotiating a possible settlement with authorities but so far has not agreed on terms ...”

A bit more time in the prison hanging up side down with 12V wires to his sensitive places should help reach the required number ...

I don't think Alwaleed is going to be release for any amount.

He is the kingpin...the big kahuna.

He was the money behind Wahhabism around the world.

And with him in prison...all his wealth belongs to the Kingdom.

Q Anon today states the price set for his freedom has been set at 6 billion, which he does not have, because we have frozen all of his assets.
Will this canary sing?

Alwaleed has plenty to meet his bounty.

He will not meet it because he is an enemy of all that Prince Salman wants to do in SA.

Alwaleed is a jihadi.

He has to die or be confined in a dark prison.

Why can't they just behead him in the street like they did to this woman a few years back?

The term “heads will roll” has a very literal meaning in SA.

So how and why is he still alive? Even during the Trump Administration is he more valuable alive than dead? I don’t know how to answer that. Was he involved in the Los Vegas incident at the Mandalay?
